Chromanin: But if you're saying that Steam should integrate games from GoG into it's launcher automatically so that those would use Steam features, I would definitely support that.
Nope, I do confess, I did it once on Steam ,Plants vs Zombies (free on mobile anyway), bought it there and played trough Galaxy. I am sure that you ARE aware it does not work opposite way :D You are hitting from wrong side :D

Here 59 620 people want drm-free, and growing. Not here then elsewhere. I like it here.

and for GOG Galaxy 2.0 here.

Jackie will explain it to you : )

sanscript: Ok, let's turn this into a "car thing" again...
I think you're putting way too much thinking into analyzing a question people ask on a forum. Most people aren't that "in the know," they don't pay as much attention as the "hardcore" do. This goes for everything, from movies to politics to video game distributors. Many websites sell Steam keys, many times when you buy a game elsewhere you get a Steam key, so random dudes asking about Steam keys on the GOG forum is not some shocking sign of their poor intellect.

Cyberpunk comes with some exclusive goodies here and touts supporting CDPR, so it makes sense some Steam fans would look to buy here thinking it might work like Greenman or Amazon do.

I'm surprised you're misunderstanding my question.

Isn't this what GoG connect is all about? But then in the other direction? Where you buy a Steam copy and then can activate it on GoG?

Off-topic a little, but won't the Steam version of Cyberpunk also be released DRM-free?
Or does CDPR actually throw Denuvo on it / force a Steam login to start the game if bought on there?

To OP:
No, you could just add the GOG version of the game to your Steam library (I am sure you are aware of that feature, but just thought I should mention it). You just wouldn't be able to earn Steam achievements that way or track your game time on your Steam profile; you'd earn GOG Achievements and track it on the GOG client.

I (and probably everyone here) would urge you to buy on GOG to support DRM-free gaming, but...
... Hey, it's your money... You can support the idea that all games should be chained to a client ... That's fine...

:( Sad face

I'm sure they'll give Steam users free GOG copies eventually, which is what GOG Connect is all about. They have zero reason or motivation to send their customers to Steam.

Witcher 3 was DRM free on Steam (game could run without Steam client running), so I expect the same for Cyberpunk. Unless of course CDPR does something under the hood we can't see.

I'd like to buy the world a Coke and/or Pepsi
And keep it company
Sounds a bit out of rhythm :)

You just have to pick up the meter a bit. ;)

I was going to offer to buy the world a Tab, but...

Hello guys,

I just bought Cyberpunk 2077 game key and I have been using/playing the game on Steam via family share but I wanted to buy the game and since it's cheaper on GOG I wanted to buy a game key for it.

The Game key I keep putting was showing invalid I thought the game key was actually invalid but I realized that the game shows "owned" in GOG as steam edition how can I remove that? and I've removed the Steam integration and now the game key I add keeps loading and not adding the game keeps loading infinitely.

How to fix this guys? How can I remove the Steam version from GOG and add the GOG version?

Thank You so Much.
