Steam is my main platform, so any new game that releases will be bought on Steam. Only "Good old games" I buy on GoG.

But I'd like to support CDPR, but only if I can activate the game on Steam (So activate, not manually add it).

If I buy a copy on GoG, does GoG connect support activation on Steam?
No.

You've been here since 2009 and still haven't figured out GOG doesn't sell Steam games?

GOG Connect is working in the opposite side, allows to activate games from your steam account on GOG, but only selected title(s) for limited time.

It's just my guess, but I would rather expect, that steam version will be available only on steam, as it was with e.g. Witcher 3.
If you can buy Epic games via Galaxy, why not Steam games, too? Just wait a little longer, who knows what the new GOG still has in store for us. ;P

?

Steam offers free keys for any game that's sold outside of it's storefront. If CDPR really considers itself a consumer friendly place, they shouldn't care about where I want to play my games as long as I bought them, preferably without the 30% cut.
You can get a Steam key if you buy a Steam key, of course, but what does that have to do with GOG?

No GOG never ever sells Steam keys because GOG and Steam are competition. If you desperately need all your new games in one place on Steam you'll have to buy a key elsewhere, but you'll still be supporting CDP by buying the game, just supporting with less money. The vast majority of PC gamers use Steam as their main platform anyway (which is why GOG is unlikely to ever really get "big") and "all my games in one place" is really important to many, so you certainly aren't alone.

I think you need to leave.

I think you should be more kind to others.

OP - I am afraid that we do not sell Steam keys. If you purchase the game on GOG.COM, the game will be automatically added to your GOG library.

So Steam is not a consumer-friendly place because Valve sells PC versions of Half-life/Portal games (and such) only for the Steam service?

(Yes I said PC versions, so no need to point out there was a PS2 version of some HL games etc., as if that somehow invalidates the point; after all The Witcher games are also sold on consoles.)

In that case, you should ask Steam for that free key. By your own words they are the ones offering them. And it might surprise you, but GOG isn't Steam (yet).

Give us an example please. I really want to understand your point and get my "free" Steam keys. Please teach me how it works.

My GOG game library is about 2.5 times bigger than Steam, those games were sold outside Steam storefront yet I have no option to get my "free" Steam games for it.
I have several games in Origin - no Steam keys for me.
I have a few games in EGS - no Steam keys for me.
Ubisoft didn't provide me with the keys as well, however I've got a few keys from Steam to Ubisoft store, does it count? And no keys from Bethesda.net and Battle.net, especially for exclusive titles.
Umm... OP I now have a migraine... Thanks!
