Sir, you are being hunted.
The gameworld is just so empty and boring. :l

Prah: Just a fun question, which is the worst game on GOG according to your own opinion and why?

timppu: Ultima 1. Those damn graphics and poor audio, and it doesn't support the XBoner gamepads. No multiplayer either.
Still a better sci-fi story than Mass Effect though
Hatoful boyfriend, because it is.

Lesser: Hmm...maybe Empire Earth 3. It has nothing in common with the series.
My first thought too. How can a game have so much design flaws with such a great legacy ?
avatar
toxicTom: So it's MoO 3. Well deserved.
I kept reading this for years, so I never played it, yet it became stuff of nightmares to me. Congrats ? :-)

amrit9037: Jack Kane
Ultima IX
Both of them are very solid games in my eyes. Ultima IX was extremely buggy when it was released and the fans hated it, because it didn't remain true to the rest of the series. But it isn't a very bad game. Jack Keane is an ok adventure game, nothing special, but not worse than many other in the genre.

My vote for the worst game on GOG goes to Sensible Soccer 2006.

There is no such game on GOG.
Haven't anyone mentioned Daikatana yet?
It was really mess.
The most mediocre game on GOG is Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness, cue tinyE. ;)

The following review by TheFrik sums it up quite well:

"If i wasn't a fan of the TR series i would not have bought this game. but apart from all the bugs, the WEIRD controls, the introduction of this second playable character. and the weapon changes. its still Lara Croft. so buy it if you love the TR series, but don't expect to enjoy it."

It is a shit game but I loved it because I am a TR fiend.

Honestly I just picked up Underworld and even though I've only just started, it's already making the rest of the series look like shit. I keep getting killed because I'm too busy looking at how beautiful everything is rather that playing.
The worst game is the game that cannot start. It's nice that we don't have those around here.
Btw I couldn't finish Divine Divinity too, but maybe I invested too little time in it, will try again :)

I am glad that you enjoyed the game, I just like to give you a hard time over it so thats why I brought it up here. ;)

Underworld appears to be a good game, though I haven't played any of the first reboot series of TR games. If you think that looks beautiful then you'll be in awe of the latest Tomb Raider reboot which looks absolutely stunning.

Crosmando: Divine Divinity is a game which tries too hard to be something it isn't. Yes it has some interesting dialogue and actual quests, but it's still a Diablo clone. Though I'm glad to know that Larian didn't even want to use Diablo combat, and it was just the publisher trying to be appeal to trends.

tinyE: You people are nuts. XD The only thing wrong with DD is that for some reason everyone walks around like they have a pole shoved up their ass. Seriously, pay attention to that if you ever play it again. Mind you I've never had a pole shoved up my ass, recently, but when I did I sure as hell didn't try walking around, but if I had, I'm sure that's what it would have looked like.
that comment made me spit my coffee out my nose :-D

um, for me it was The Last Express. The most gorgeous atmospheric adventure uh.. no wait. its not a point and click adventure game, its a frigging timed platformer with insta death and constant start overs. Want to lovingly explore this wonderful game world and investigate all the nooks and crannies? well tough, cuz we are going to kill you with some invisible timer so just get thru the check points and damn the atmosphere.

lolol if they had correctly labeled the game as such I never would have bought it.

Despite its flaws, I wouldn't have known GOG existed 5 years ago if it weren't for that game.
edit: woops, better police my punctuation before I kick my own ass.

So it did some good then. :-)
Star Wars Rebel Assault. Take a game with 30 minutes of actual gameplay (if you want to call it that) and make it into 5 hours by deliberately giving it messed up controls, and then use it to fleece all the Star Wars nuts. And it worked too.
But lets face it, George Lucas could have sold cakes made from his toejam and called them "Wookie Bites" and fans would buy them, eat them and pretend they like them.
