I only used Valve as an example, not a scapegoat because Valve are a terrible group of individuals who are the lead digital distribution platform - no other reason, it has zero to do with forming a basic argument, as you put it... there's no need to be upset that I said something that appeared to you, as negative when it involved your beloved GOG and for goodness sake, stop putting words into peoples' mouths, it's ridiculous.
Some of the comments in here are rude and ridiculously childish. Why can't people discuss anything without resorting to snidy comments or sarcasm?
Oh and people buying things they don't need, it's called reverse psychology and marketing tactics... people use it all the time - even if it is a mere illusion that something is going to disappear and not be on sale for a while, some (not all) will put down some cash to ensure they get it now rather than later. Please don't deny basic psychology. And what is it with people always thinking that disagreeing with something warrants their shitty behaviour in return? I don't hate GOG, I like it and I'm most certainly not bad mouthing them and the platform. There's zero reason to be so defensive.
The community as ever, is elitist (just like everywhere else) and authoritative and cannot have a discussion without being ridiculously petty. It's a shame really because each and every time this happens (probably hundreds of thousands of times on the Internet in varying discussions originating throughout the world) it is a prime example of how primitive people are.
I can't be bothered to check back on this petty behaviour so I'll leave it here. If a moderator could kindly lock or delete the topic, that would appreciated.
