Foclock: Hey guys, just made the permanent switch and I'm loving it.
Do you think there's a chance we'll see Witcher 3 on Linux?
Hopefully I'm not beating a dead horse.
Solei: The Linux version will probably only come out when all content for TW3 is made and more bugs are fixed, and the game is considered 'complete'. But that is only guesswork. Maybe they are working to implement Vulcan as well.
I really do hope that TW3 is getting a native Linux version - and not just a windows version running through Wine, like TW2 is.

I, on the other hand, find the eON-powered "port" of Saints Row: Gat out of Hell to run fairly well, and actually wouldn't mind the same for The Witcher 3. Yes, the former is undoubtedly a lot worse than its Windows release, but as far as I'm concerned, it's good enough (on a Radeon R9 270X, with Mesa drivers rather than proprietary).
Yes, a native release would be preferable, but a Wine-powered one is better than nothing.
