So blues, is this thing EVER going to go on sale? I don't think I've seen it on sale since the game released, other than that initial discount, iirc. Maybe when the next expansion comes out? Of course, the best way to ensure that it goes on sale within a week is for me to buy it now...

I am actually, perso, boycotting the Watcher 3 until it will be a suitable price for a game that might not replay.

I wish there was inflation to make an excuse, but that price for the OC would be about 20 Euro I guess. I am assuming 3-5 years.

So I both enjoy and sympathize, actually.

Boycotting? That's a somewhat self-aggrandizing way to call waiting for a sale, wouldn't you say? Also, while whether it's worth the asking price is of course up to everyone's subjective judgment, it's hardly overpriced for a AAA long-ass RPG by today's standard.
The expansion pass did go on sale during its first release, and I thought it went on sale during one of the major sales, though I can not recall for certain. Also, Blood and Wine is not released yet, so it is more than likely that the expansion will not go on sale until sometime thereafter.

I...I guess I've been boycotting quite a few games without even realizing it! One learns something new every day (though not what the hell "perso" is supposed to mean). Now, if you'll excuse me, I plan on boycotting being awake for a while....

According to the MaGog search engine, the Expansion Pass (by itself) has never gone on sale -- though the Game + Expansion Pass package was discounted last June (10% off).

Guys, it's going to be over 20 hours of content. This is CDPR. They don't skimp on content.

No kidding. This isn't exactly the equivalent of paying for horse armor.
I am waiting for a complete edition before I splurge any cash on it. Hate this bit by bit release set up nowadays.

Sold-separately add-on expansions for games have been a thing since at least the early '90s. The "horrible present day vs. good old days" worldview isn't applicable here. : )

There is, apparently, a news embargo on Blood and Wine that is to be lifted on May 10th.

Polish >> English Google translation of the relevant text:
"We were just at the presentation expansion in CD projects and we can say that on May 10 falls embargo on information about it."

To make it clearer, an interpretation in proper English:
"We were just at a CD Projekt presentation about the expansion, and we can say more when the embargo lifts on May 10."

Expect to hear something next Tuesday?

Just a tiny correction. It's Slovak to English (not that it matters, the translation is correct).
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Blood and Wine New Info
They don't plan to go on sale with the exp. pass right after release

I don't remember buying textures (Dying Light for instance) back then? It is the horrible present, true, back then it wasn't much better, but at least back then teh developers didn't stand on the tallest building windmilling their genitals at the customers like they do nowadays. "Play your game, sure jump through our hoops bitch customers".

Well...crud. Even the base game has been on sale a time or two, put a 25 or 33% discount on the bloody expansion pass, dangnabit! I wouldn't expect a 50 or 75% off, but just a little would be nice.
