Abovet: The game is just badly optimized in my opinion. I tried it once, but decided to quit after quite a few hours playing the game. I had to go back and forth trying to find the right tweaks for the game until I finally reached to that point where I could no longer take it. If I'm not mistaken, the first boss had a very huge impact on my laptop's performance. The octopus one.

Spy_Gentleman: Laptop specs < Desktop specs.

Laptops generally have 2x weaker specs than mid spec Desktop PC. Using laptop as a gaming device is just a waste of money.
That's a bitter truth that I have to accept even if I don't want to.

The N2820 processor itself isn't the best but can handle a few games, the main issue with Witcher 2 here is the integrated GPU. Simply put, you won't be able to play this game on that laptop.

Let's not forget there are widely differently specced laptops out there. The Witcher 2 runs fine on my 3½ years old gaming laptop.

The laptop the OP mentioned is a very low-end and cheap non-gaming laptop.
