I just want to see a proper witcher hunt with the preparation and tracking before the slaying.
Optionally I would love to see polish dubbing too if it will be possible.
Some official photos of Geralt, Yen, Ciri, and Roach from the show have been posted:

There's also a trailer for a feature-length fan film that's in the works, and the production quality is quite good:

Just not feeling anything I've seen from this series.

The Witcher games were so wonderfully realized. The elements that we've seen so far of this show just look under-cooked and uninspired. Even the logo looks "off."

The show may ultimately be ok, but I feel safe in saying "IIt won't be great."

The acting and choreography is shite.

Honestly, I think it looks terrible. Certainly looks and feels nothing like the Witcher. It looks more like a Game of Thrones knock-off (which I guess was always what they were going to go for). The Witcher isn't just any cliched dark fantasy. It has a peculiar mood, aesthetic, language. I fear all of that is entirely lost in this series. I certainly see none of it here. I had very low expectations and I'm still surprised just how bland and generic this looks. Nothing in this trailer was memorable, looked distinct in any way. And would it have killed them to focus a bit more on, you know, the damn witcher? This teaser makes it look like they are pulling a Battle of the Five Armies and make who is supposed to be the lead into a supporting character at best.

The funny thing is that the old Polish tv show, cheap though it was, with terrible special effects and all that, captured that mood and intangible feel of the Witcher world so much better. The music was great, the cast almost perfect and it wasn't all shot in dull grey-brown.

Not even buying the DVDs?
It looks like generic Hollywood fantasy. In other words, everything The Witcher is not.

Hopefully, it makes more people discover The Witcher 3 (ad the first two books) in a second wind of hype. But I wouldn't hold my breath for it.
Technically I think it looks nice but I'm afraid it could just turn into Game of Thrones fan fiction.

And not even the book Game of Thrones, just the TV show version.

I am cautious on Amazon's Lord of the Rings though. That one is gonna start at the Second Age shockingly.

It's absolutely meaningless when and where it will supposedly be set, as it will have precisely two things in common with Tolkien's work: Jack and shit. And Jack skipped town.
