Ah yes, that one was in the 'not sure' pile, along with Don't Starve. Simply for the matter of only being able to update the game through the game's updater. I've sort of warmed to the reality that I'd need to use the updater, but only if I have the ability to move the game elsewhere without problems afterwards.
I haven't tried it with Don't Starve yet, but I just might shortly. I also own Star Ruler, so I'll try it as well.
You've made an interesting point saying that it doesn't work for everyone, though. It may need to make the list because of that.

Personally, I would say that a game should be on the list if the GOG version is outdated, regardless of if an included updater can bring the game up to date. Part of GOG is being able to download installers and patches through the website, which are particularly important for backups. If a game's latest updates are only available through an updater, then the GOG version is still outdated in my mind.
