While looking through the shop, Stronghold Crusader 2 is advertised on the main page sale for $25 but the special edition which INCLUDES the base game (or in other words, its not a deluxe upgrade DLC) can be found on sale for $15 if you browse the full catalog like I did (I'm a sucker for DLC and always look to buy everything).

This pricing makes no sense because people are much more likely to see and click on the main page item and pay $10 more to get less (no soundtrack/artbook/or bonus classic stronghold game); thereby getting screwed. I'm assuming this mix up is just caused by the randomized nature of the deals but otherwise this sort of thing is the opposite of what I expect from a consumer-friendly company like GOG.

I was fortunate to catch this before checking out but anyone else who overpaid I'd suggest buying a gift copy on sale, emailing it to yourself, then using GOG's refund policy to get a refund on the original, and once the refund is processed claim the gift copy for your account.

Did anyone get screwed by this? And, can someone from GOG confirm that this is a mistake?

There were mistakes of this kind on sales before (deluxe edition cheaper than base game). If I'm not mistaken, GOG would refund/reimburse you if contact support.
