I like the calendar, but not getting anything big at the start of the sale is a let down, imho.

A free game isn't big enough? I don't know how good or bad The Whispered World is, but usually the game sells for $20.

While freebies are neat, I'm more interested in new releases.

GOG started with a freebie probably because free games generate more interest. There are more surprises to come, and most likely some of them are big releases.
Point and Click is just not my genre, but the art is good, no doubt.
Wow, thanks!

The meaning of "big" is difficult to describe. Some people may say "those with big playtime". Although, even some "Indies" could provide over 50 hours gametime, but it is rare... for example Phoenotopia: Awakening. Some may say "those with big budget". Fact is... for many games we do not even know the budget used, it is just guessing, because a company does not need to reveal it. As well, there are many games with big budget used, yet they still sux.

Guess we can only fully admit, that a "big game" will need a certain admiration of its overall-quality, without any hype added (already a hard thing... gamers just love to hype stuff).
Almost felt like singing the "Twelve Days of Christmas" song because of the calendar giveaways, but it's 20 days instead. Oh well, 8 more days of gifts on top of that, can't complain. :)
