Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone has had a problem with windows 8.1, the problem is that only white noise comeing out of the headphones and speakers? i've tried multiple speakers and headphones but still get the white noise. My sound still works through AMD HDMI output but not through the Realtek High definition audio. i've tried uninstalling the drivers reinstalling,updating the drivers, enabling and disabling sound drivers.

I have a realtek sound system as well on 8.1 and no issues - it sounds like possibly a hardware issue; did it happen all of the sudden? Was there an update before it happened (windows/driver/etc)? If you have multiple input/output connections (eg: front and rear panel) have you tried connecting to the alternate ones?
