Just to be clear, the laptop was always running Windows 10, right? Galaxy has been known to fail if you installed it on another Windows and then upgraded to 10, but it can be fixed with a simple reinstall.

If it's not that (and it sounds like it isn't) then like PookaMustard said, it would probably help to know the exact error, screenshot or otherwise.

You did read the subsequent posts in that thread, right? The ones saying that it would happen while watching videos, without any updates being downloaded or installed, and the ones saying that once they used a can of compressed air to clean the air vents, the reboots stopped happening, right?

Still, if you fear of automatic reboots due to updates, disable the update service and only run an update check when it's convenient for you, or use a tool to download only the updates you need.

Install a copy from kickass torrent, and I'm sure it will work fine.
