I know it is available as a PS1 classic on the PS3 (and 4 ?), but what about the PC ?
I own the rest of the games but I have yet to play them because I want to play the first one first.

I wonder if Night Dive can pull this after necrobumping System Shock.
Well there is the original disc? :P

It's not just a technical problem with running the game. Silicon Knights own the rights to the first Blood Omen while Crystal Dynamics/ Square Enix own the rights to everything that came out later.

Copyright limbo!

Considering how rare it is, thats not a bad price haha. Personally, I would find an ISO for the PS1 version and play it in an emulator.
I tried to get it to run many years ago on WinXP to no avail - it constantly froze after a few seconds ingame.
Later I've read it was due to the fact that I tried it on an NTFS partition while the game does only seem to run more stable on FAT32 for some reason. Haven't tried it with WINE yet.

I've got my sealed copy of the game a couple of years ago so I don't give a crap :-P

Actually, I've already completed my collection of the Blood Omen/Soul Reaver series in their original CD-ROM and DVD editions. That on-line crap never happened, it's dead to me.

its being sold by square enix actually

sillicon knights went tits up 2 years ago so at a guess squeenix scooped the rights up
Maybe Sony has the right to prevent PC sales for now.
No.
Its also possible the PS1 contract is more clear cut and Sony's right to distribute is indisputable. It might even have a defined clause concerning future Playstation generations.

I wouldn't classify it as very hard to get it to run. All you have to do is follow this guide. I used a no-cd crack too to avoid using the CD.
