Fort McMurray is a city a few hundred kilometres north of me. Currently, the entire city - 80,000 people - are evacuated due to a wildfire. Some of the pictures are stunning to say the least:

To compound the situation, there is only one highway in or out of Fort Mac, and the road south has been closed intermittently over the last couple of days because of fires. The other option is to head north, further into the bush! [Edit]There are actually two highways south, and both are jammed. 881 isn't much of a highway either[/Edit]
I've got a friend in Fort Mac who is a fire fighter. His wife is heading north, while he stays to fight fires.
Provides some perspective as to how small some of my problems really are...
