Over the past month or so there has been a bit of a buzz building around this game in certain rpg aficionado circles, so I had to try it out. I have to say that Voidspire Tactics might be one of the best sleeper titles of the past year and should have a lot more people talking about it. It's currently on steam (http://store.steampowered.com/app/415920/) but I think it would be a great fit on here. Voidspire does lack in graphics and story, but it is an absolutely rock solid game when it comes to gameplay. It borrows liberally from FF5 for it's class system, and has a tremendous emphasis on open environmental exploration. Battles are tactical, and you have lots of character development options from the class system allowing you to mix and match abilities with other classes. The encounters and areas in the game feel like they've had so much more thought put into them than the average RPG, there's a lot less randomly/procedurally generated junk to plow through in this game. It makes the game a tad shorter (~10 hours, but there are tonnes of secret areas/bosses in the game which extend that closer to 20), but so much more worth it.

I was surprised to see that it was not on the GOG wishlist, so I added an entry and I encourage people to vote for this awesome title (http://www.gog.com/wishlist/games/voidspire_tactics). I really think this is a great title that got overlooked by most people as at first glance it looks like average RPGMaker trash.

Even if this never makes it to GOG, more people should know about and play Voidspire Tactics as it is easily on par gameplay-wise with other treasured indie RPGs of the last year like Age of Decadence & Underrail.
