My giff posting fu is weak today.

Just for you here are 140 odd pages of giffs, I'm sure more than one would be appropriate, if you can figure out how to post em' :)

johnnyt305: So, I am wondering why there is still no GOG copy of Witcher 3 for those of us that bought the game from other stores?
The game is still too new and still releasing new content. Older games didn't have that option for a very long time.
avatar
johnnyt305: We supported the people behind this site no matter where we bought their game, they got a cut of the money, do they expect us to buy it again here or what is the reason to still not give us a GOG copy?
GOG and any other publisher gets a really small cut for selling games through Steam. If you truly want to support GOG/CD PROJEKT, you should buy their games from this site instead.
avatar
johnnyt305: I love GOG and its idea that they say they want us to have DRM free copies of games and now they have the steam link, well I bought Witcher 3 on steam, why is it not the first title to be linked like they did with the older Witcher games?
Sigh, again, the game is too new, and besides it's pointless, The Witcher 3 is already DRM-Free on Steam (it doesn't require the Steam client to play it, just to download and install the game). Also, is not GOG but the publishers who are offering a DRM-Free copy of their games through GOG for a limited time.

johnnyt305: GOG/CD Projekt RED remember why we are your fans, because you portray yourselves as being for gamers and not being greedy. Give us the GOG copy as we supported your game, I pre-ordered months before release and would like a copy here since you are giving people copies of all these other games by other devs/publishers, it only makes sense to add your own games fully as well.
Now, now, it looks like you're the greedy one here instead. If you loved GOG so much, why did you pre-ordered and bought their game from Steam instead of here? Besides, they did the favor to make the game DRM-Free over there, isn't? And it's fully working on Steam, so... why "requesting" an extra copy of the same product?

You should re-read what you posted, because it makes look greedy and dumb, at least, do a little research next time to know the facts properly (:P)

GOG is already fair with us, they don't push DRM on us and give us some good promos and freebies from time to time. If we want for this to continue, then we need to be fair with them too.

If you were a fan then you would have bought the game here, since it is, you know, DRM-free, or at least you would not complain about it.

The level of entitlement under the guise of being a loyal supporter is unbelievable, isn't it?

Uh no, I am saying it would only make sense. They are giving us copies of other steam games, why not all of their own games?

Would it make any sense for me to buy the Witcher 3 again instead? I mean I don't really need it, I already own it on steam, but my question is, why are they holding that game back on here when they gave us the first 2 witchers and now a bunch of other steam games?

Entitled would be asking for them to give stuff free that I did not pay for already, I'm simply asking someting that would seem to be common sense.

I buy where the price is best. I have 150+ games on GOG, but I wont pay way more on here when its on sale on Steam sorry. I am a fan of GOG, but I am also a smart shopper too.

You guys saying I am asking for "FREE GAME" are a joke. I paid for the game and they got their cut from the sale. I am asking why are they giving us random steam games on here, but not their own game Witcher 3 yet? Its a legit question. I don't need the game on here, it was something I just think seems odd not to allow the steam/GOG thing to work on that game since its one of their own games.

You people that love to troll on here really add nothing to the forums, and you make GOG look bad to new customers as well. Trying to be some kind of smart ass elitists only makes you seem dumber than you already are.

Nobody is trolling anyone and your question has been answered already.

You chose to buy the game on steam.

What makes you think you are automatically entitled to anything else?

So, since you already have the game, and you don't need it, why ask for a GOG copy?

It is entitlement since you take it for granted that CDPR will give you a copy here for every game they develop and you buy elsewhere because you get a better price there.

I guess it didn't occur to you that the GOG copies of the first two The Witcher games, as well as GOG Connect is a marketing thing to increase their userbase.

Petition GOG to add the The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt & it's DLC to the next phase of GOG Connect.
Maybe this will happen, maybe it won't.
And this is why GOG Connect is a shitty idea (as there wasn't enough whiny posts.pretty much everywhere on this forum to prove it).
This OP and the one from the "Refund request taking a long time for a reply" thread need to get together and hang out. :P

It won't. The Steam API used by GOG connect can't read DLCs, so they won't be transferred by it.

That is pretty cool info, to be honest.

Anyway, hopefully the OP will reread the GOG User Agreement a few more times and achieve Zen nirvana.
