A bit of a warning, with 10 players it's going to be unbalanced either way. 9:1 is a slight town advantage and 8:2 is a big mafia advantage.

We can pick one or I can choose one randomly and either tell or not tell you.

Make it 9:1, and I see Town being at a disadvantage here.

Town either wins while having better odds, or loses despite having better odds. The lone Mafioso on the other hand either makes a glorious lone stand or actually wins despite the odds. It's Loss-loss for Town and win-win for the scum.

That's a compelling argument. The EV formula puts it at a slight town advantage, but that advantage is diminished in practice anyway so it's probably the fairer of the two options.

So that's a vote for 9:1. I'll let other people vote and then call the result tomorrow when I need to start rolling factions.

Doesn’t matter to me, and you shouldn’t tell us how many scum as it gives even more of an advantage to Town knowing that.

I'm ready to start whenever, with the caveat about my lower weekend availability that you guys are already aware of.

BTW I suppose there is going to be little need for long Nights. With no PR actions the only activity at night is going to be the killer's. If we go with a single mafioso it's even more pointless because Scum won't spend time arguing who is the best target.
The only reason to even spend any time in Night mode is to make breaks for the players.

(Hopefully Engerek decides to join us and you can make it 9:2, it'd be much better and I'd like to play with him)

I think having a lone mafioso is a bad idea. Let's wait until it gets balanced while having two mafiosi at bare minimum. I'm OK to start tomorrow.
