So, i finally got my copy of White Dwarf 482 with the GOG code for the big batch of Warhammer games. What a great package and a really good idea for a promotion. I absolutely approve and hope there are more like this to come. However...
Imagine my surprise when I entered the redemption code and it added almost fifty items to my cart and tried to charge me $200. Big fail on the execution here. Including all the discount coupon games in the same redemption batch and then making the customer manually remove the not-free products comes across as REALLY shady. I know GOG isn't a scam site and I'm sure this implementation was the easiest solution for what you were trying to do with this promotion but this isn't how you want to present yourself to first time customers. "I went there for free games and they tried to trick me into paying $$$" is not the initial impression you want to make.
Please continue to do game bundle promotions like this but also, make sure you really think through how they are going to come across to the brand new customers you are trying to attract.
