Gexecuter: Probably tomorrow they will release 2 activision games, at least i hope so. Hopefully it's something good like Swat 4 Gold or No one lives forever or something else.

i wouldnt consider any of those "old games". so if anything its gonna be SWAT 3 (which i also loved) or even better police quest.

Well, You've mentioned Appaloosa Interactive, not Neocore.
On the other hand that's a fairly known title, and I seek HIDDEN treasures, from the PAST.
You know, like everybody knows Omega, and not everybody knows Solaris? That kind of treasures!:)

GOG already has games as "new" as 2007, both those games are older than that, they're old enough.

Arteveld: I see a list of games dev'd in Hungary, but it requires filtering, because i see Battlestations: Midway/Pacific there, for example.
That list made me remember one awesome gem - Scarabaeus, a great FPP-puzzler, but that was on a C64. I see Reunion was also Hungarian.
Take a look Yourself:

Battlestations: Midway and Pacific WERE developed by Hungarians, I recall game mags mentioning this fact.
I sure don't know of any hidden gems developed here... But then again, I don't know THAT much about Hungarian developers. I know of someone who must have more knowledge on the matter (an editor who writes the retrogaming article for PC Guru, a Hungarian game magazine), but I'm not sure he is on GOG. Or better, he's proabably here (he's aware of the site, he's mentioned it in the past), but I don't think he frequents the boards.

Yeah, i've meant filtering as in separating old from new.;)
My quest, to have a giant world map, and placing at least one great game pin on each country. I guess Scarabaeus will do for now;P I'll seek out those text adventures though.;)
Thanks!:)

Well, I can give them their titles, but I don't think you'll get very far with a vocabulary... Our language is extremely irregular, and thus it can be difficult to find words in teh dictionary unless you know how our words are formed.
Anyway, they are (at least what I know of): Bosszú, Új Vadnyugat, Időrégész.

soulgrindr: My excuse for not buying AvP is that i know it'll be 75% off within a month. Which makes it $1.25 i reckon.... gotta be frugal.

You know, that actually makes sense, considering the new AvP is gonna be released. Hmm I might just wait it out after all, to save that $4.

That adds a special difficulty curve, i'll take a look anyway.;P Thank You.:)

I would definitely consider NOLF to be a good old game. It was originally released in 2000. It would be an instabuy for me if it's released. It has a great sense of humor, and is fun, rather than many newer shooters which focus on violent intensity. I have the boxed version of NOLF, but I lost the second disk, so I can't install it.
On a side note, I once bought an 8 megabyte video card primarily so I could play NOLF. The 1 GB card I have now should be great for it. ;-)

while it may certainly be old by some standards, to me gog only exists because us older folks wanna play games taht are hard to get to run on modern computers and can't be bought anymore (i.e. essentially anything coming out between 1980-1995). i can buy no one lives forever for 3 pounds off of amazon right now and wouldnt have a problem getting it to run.
i dont fault you for wanting what you want, im just surprised that there seems to be an almost greater demand for "newer" games than truly old games here.

Where the hell is thursday's new game?!?!?!?
