JudasIscariot: I am just going to call it "we're one hour ahead of the UK" time :D

grimgroove: We are in the same timezone! I never knew, Poland seems like such a far way away.
It's not, that's why so many polish people come work in the netherlands and in belgium. ;)

That's the feeling I get for every other country in Europe :D

"But they are too far, almost mythical, in fact..."

SirPrimalform: I'm always surprised when people don't understand the time zone they live in.

I know my own is particularly easy, but when I understand other people's timezones better than they do I get confused.
Well, I'm in GMT+0, same as the UK, and we're on Daylight Savings Time/Summer Time, as well (BST, for the British chaps). I'm not in GMT+1 just because it's Summer Time, it's still just GMT+0 during Summer Time. Poland should be GMT+1 with DST, and not GMT+2, and the twitch stream starts at 6:00 PM GMT+1 (all of Western Europe minus the UK, Ireland and Portugal), 5:00 PM GMT+0 (all of us three). Iceland doesn't use Summer Time, so it should happen at 4:00 PM, all you Icelandic GOGgers out there!
I actually remember thinking when we had the daylight savings thing here this month "Oh great now we get GOG games at 8 instead of 10"

jjsimp: I think everyone knows their time zone very well. Where they have a problem is what time it is in Greenwich.
Right, but since they're defined relative to GMT not knowing the offset = not knowing your time zone.
avatar
Gaunathor: Well, GMT is a fixed time. It doesn't change. The actual time-difference changes, however, due to daylight savings. During summertime, we are 2 hours ahead of GMT, instead of the usual 1 hour. So saying GMT+1 now isn't correct, and can be very misleading.

JudasIscariot: Sorry, that's an old force of habit stemming from my time in the US as there never was a +2 or +1 added to the local time zones :)

So, for example, Eastern Standard Time, was always Eastern Standard Time instead of EST + 1 or + 2 :)

Still, that doesn't excuse my ignorance :)

Soooo GMT + 2 it is :)
I remember Eastern Standard Time. Now we have Daylight time, which is obnoxious.

Just south of you (Chicago) is the sausage capitol of the USA. Then again Chicago being just south of where you live is comparable to Budapest being just south of Warsaw.

No shit. The capital of Canada is south of me.
Cough, cough :)
was wondering as well...
Indies don't follow the 12.00 release plan, they get released at random time of the day.
