Is it only me or does it feel that gog hasnt release a good old classic for a long time? I don't want to hate against indie games but thats mostly the only games that appear on gog for a long time. Maybe its my hangover but perhaps you should consider renaming the site good new games? I miss the time where you go to the website and see a "new" released classic and instantly bought it.
I think they're still releasing classics no? Not just a lot of classics like they used to be.

The market doesn't favor classic games anyway over new releases.

Last release of old games was 2 days ago
Number of games released so far in 2016, grouped by decade:

Eighties.....Nineties.....Oughts.....Teens..........Total.....Mean Release Year
0 (0%).......1 (3%).........6 (18%)....26 (79%)....33.........2012.3

My idea of "old" games is 80s and 90s. I feel as though there are already plenty of them on here and they're running out of quality titles to add.

I have a broader definition. Anything older than 5 years is old imho.
And last thread about this topic was 6 days ago - sorry, OP, one per week only, please! ;)

GOG is doing a fine job, releasing new and classic games at a steady pace. They just recently released a couple of very nice oldies and it doesnt feel as if they slowed down in that department. Its just the *new* games and indies that steal the spotlight.Just enjoy GOG as it is right now,as it is a real oasis in this swamp of *other friendly sites*,and lets not even talk about the DRM free gun here :D.Cheers.

That may be true in general, but not for the original GoG target audience - they may feel a little distraught due to the recent shift in focus on new and in-development games.

Truth is I can see where they're coming from, but that's just life. In the long run, GoG has to expand in order to survive and that's what this is.

Will we get less "good old games" as a result? Probably. But we'll still have our picks, just less often.

The statistics linked to above tell a different tale though. In none of the previous years since GOG was founded have there been so many releases of pre-2K games as in 2015.
Sounds like something from a bad sci-fi movie.

P1na: Where is the grog?
Shouldn't you be playing that new pineapple game? :P Think I might snag that today.

I'm thinking more like the 70s, and the 60s. Games were better back then. Anything newer is too new, just for the whippersnappers. Like The Beatles and The Rolling Stones, man they were great games.

Another "GOG never releases old games anymore"-thread. Must be one of those days of the week that end on '-y'...
