fr33kSh0w2012: The 404 error MEANS you HAVE to install galaxy to download the game then you can just delete galaxy remembering to move the games folder which will make the game DRM free!

It was the only way I am able to DL some of my titles!
There's a lot of misinformation in that post.

If you download the game through Galaxy you don't need to uninstall Galaxy or move the game for it to be DRM-free. It's also not at all true that you have to use Galaxy if the downloader isn't working, what about the offline installers on the website?

visconteprimus: Really!? I have to install a stuff which I don't want!?

Am I wrong of that damned client is optional!?
Ignore the fearmongering, while the downloader is being phased out, Downloader and Galaxy are not the only choices.

Plus, this is not a solution! With this thread I've reported a problem of the site not of the tool (GOG Downloader).

GOG Downloader works.

The problem is I cannot find the page with game's links.
You don't HAVE to use the client. You can always just download via your browser.

Wow, well that is a problem then. You definitely got the offline ones and not the online galaxy installers? GOG's certainly pushing them so it would be an easy mistake to make.

I don't have this particular game, but I've been able to download proper offline installers for all the games I do have so I don't think this is a policy change, but rather a mistake you should let support know about.

Just to confirm, you definitely clicked the link at the bottom of your library rather than the big blue "install this game with Galaxy" button?

ArachnosX: I pre-ordered before it went live, and I have the "Jolly Brolly DLC".

Starmaker: Did you preorder it this year? I bought it last year, specifically 2017-08-06, and got screwed.

edit: and now (2018-08-12 20:08 UTC) it's here. Thank you whoever added it, now to poke some downers.
I pre-ordered 1 day before release. Glad it's been fixed.

Also, the GOG Downloader Links page is now working as well. Thank you! ^:)
Glad the Downloader works. Due to the lack of clarity on whether or not the offline installers had Galaxy snuck into them, I ended up having to re-download. I really hope that was just misinformation instead of Galaxy being snuck into offline installers. No Scheme-like client for me, thanks.

But it isn't even anything like that? Mostly just a way to centrally organize and launch your games?

If it's as innocuous as you say, then there is no need to constantly push it down everyone's throat with giant ads and giant download options meant to make it the default.
