eksasol: I open barrels to collect the water.
Pseudoman: I hear that's illegal in some parts of the world...
This isn't the exact forum for this kind of discussion, but I sort of expected someone going to say that. There was a case here in the US where some guy getting in trouble with authority for saving rain water, and then there was a whole hubbub on the internet about it, but when I read into it, I don't remember the exact details, but it was something like he was upstream and diverted all the water to his property and took advantage of it, not allowing the water to flow naturally. So it was an extreme case, then people took that and create an Alex Jones fear mongering (mainly the website naturalnews.com which is run by a bullshitter that also work on Alex Jones show) that you're no longer allowed save rain water. This is what politicians bank on, for people to live on fear and distrust. It's true there are
laws on rain saving in certain states, most of them actually wants to encouraging rain water saving, not the other way around. Somewhat related, people has been fined at conventions for sharing seeds (licensing issue). People now roll over and accept anything they are told by authorities without questioning. It would be profitable for the industry to prevent everyone from growing and saving seeds and totally at their mercy for their foods, so we are no longer self reliance for anything and totally at their mercy, including how to think.
