EDIT; Doh, disregard. I found the original in my library after all. It is a separate listing just like Doom II was. My bad, sorry. Sure wish we could delete our own threads like on Steam.

I have both Doom 1 and Doom II enhanced. Both have this similar description (the quote below is from Doom I)

Owners Receive:
The complete, original DOOM (1993) and original Episode IV: They Flesh Consumed (*Previously sold as “Ultimate DOOM”)
The enhanced, re-release of DOOM (1993)
Now with Doom II, I have separate listings in my library. 1) says Doom II Ehnahced, while the other says Doom II + Master Levels (so I'm assuming it's the original).

However, no such thing in my library regarding the original Doom, only Doom Enhanced. There is no listing under downloadable files for the original, and I want ahead and installed Doom Enhanced to see if perhaps it installed both, but it appears this is not the case as only a Doom I Enhanced icon appeared on my desktop.

So... where's the original Doom that the store page says "Owners receive?"

No, you didn't – at least if you didn't take more than 7 hours to write your question. Edited 8 hours ago. :-P
An image would help spruce up the place.

I'm pretty sure that no one has such a title in their library lol.

I took a screenshot to "show how I missed it" but.. I still should have seen it. I found Doom II enhanced, and the original was right next to it. So when I saw Doom I enhanced, and didn't see the other right next to it, I just missed the listing on the bottom line completely.

FTR: Doom I original on GOG is "Ultimate Doom." It's original Doom I with the Episode IV add-on.

Sorry I missed it. Still wish we could delete our own threads here. I can see an argument for not giving that power to posters (long threads disappearing could wreak havoc on a notification system or search results I guess). But they wouldn't have to make it always available. Just a thing that's available for say the first half hour after originally posted. If not deleted by then, the option disappears. 99% of the time I wish I could use such a feature (and do on the Steam forums) is like this when I realize almost immediately it was unnecessary.

But asking for GOG to implement a new feature on these forums would likely not end well.

Good thing GOG uses internally consistent naming schemes then!

Wow, okay. I most definitely do not have that in my library.

Maybe I'm wrong about Ultimate Doom being Doom I (1993) and I am indeed missing it?

Still dazed and confused, a way of life for me.

EDIT: No, it is as you suggested , not consistent naming. (screenshot shows where it goes when I click "Store Page and Reviews" under Ultimate Doom in my Library. Maybe it's a case where when first released it didn't include Episode IV and whose who purchased it then have it show up in their library as Doom 1993. Would be interesting to know what the downloads look like under that entry in your screenshot.

OldFatGuy: What's Up With Doom I?
It's not that complicated:

"DOOM (1993)" is a package, containing:

- the original "DOOM" (from 1993), which was previously sold as "The Ultimate Doom"
and
- "DOOM I Enhanced" (from 2019).

They would be the same its just GOG packaging/naming structure is weird as I owned Doom I and II and Final Doom on GOG before the Enhanced Editions came out here.

You are not missing out on a doom version other then minor map changes and under the hood engine stuff (which were done in earlier pre-ultimate doom patches) you can use Doom I and Ultimate Doom interchangeably as a term.

the Ultimate Doom was as you said just the addition of Episode IV "Thy Flesh Consumed" largely to link "story wise" to the then just released Doom II

Just for the record, I believe the renaming happened at Steam and elsewhere too, so not a GOG initiative.

We've had that happen to a few games now.
