GameRager: The funny(sad) thing is the Wii(original) controller does all this(functionality wise) with only a handheld unit and its much easier to use.
Hikage1983: That is not the case. While they both use infrared, the activator only does so in a linear fashion. Basically each "beam" is a button. Interrupting said beam registers as a button press. Nothing more. Which is why all of the box blurb was a lie.
The wiimote on the other hand combines infrared pointing and tracing with the built in gyroscope thus making its function not only more precise but also different in operation.
My words weren't clear, I see. I meant the Wii does a similar job(so to speak) but better, and with less parts and less complicated as well.
