Cambrey: Brutal Godzilla vs Heroic King Kong. Better than I thought. The homeland of King Kong and the fight in China are visually stunning.
for me it was worse than i expected , it is just so dumb and boring , and they pushed in way too much unneded stuff
half of the protagonists are not needed etc.

I couldn't agree more on that. Way too many humans, too much shenanigan. Just like the Transformers movies.

The Dead Don't Die (2019)

Despite a good cast, it really didn't work for me. It starts of interesting enough, but then (spoilers) ends with 4th wall breaking nonsense and complete silliness in the end. Felt like a waste of my time if I'm brutally honest.
Power Rangers. Very underrated. If you want to just turn off your brain and relax, I highly recommend it.
Godzilla v. Kong (HBO Max) - Mediocre at best.
The New Mutants (HBO) - Also mediocre at best.
Love (2015) form Gaspar Noe, is a very personal movie for the director, his vision and depiction of love, extremely graphic, that revolves arround a young couple, the exploration of their sexuality, all their troubles and happy moments. Basically is a porno with a good story. For me is a 7/10.

I just reported your post as spam. Imo, it's about time the forum mods on here took some action on your persistent and blatant off-topic trolling.
Zack Snyder's Justice League - I'm not going to pretend it's flawless, but it's still a fantastic movie. Really, everything a superhero film like this should be. The mood is consistant, serious and epic, with some well placed humor. It feels more like a huge sci-fi epic than the comic book fare. All the characters get their fair share of screen time, Cyborg now has a proper character arc and is actually a well developed character, Flash has the biggest heroic moment, which also happens to be one of the most visually creative and all round awesome moments in any supergero film, the music is fantastic. And, of course, every scene with Jeremy Irons' Alfred is golden.

Maleficent 2 - I actually liked the first one, very much to my surprise. I liked that it was a nice enough twist on the original tale, and not just a pointless live action remake. The sequel however is quite bad. Rather nonsensical, disjointed, boring and just feels like a movie made out of contractual obligation by everyone involved.

Asterix and the Secret of the Magic Potion - quite entertaining and with beautiful animation. Feels a bit rushed, with some ideas introduced and never really pollowed up on, and the story isn't as strong as the older movies adapting actual comics stories were, but still - very well made and quite fun.

Soul - incredibly overrated. Starts out with some promise, but quickly devolves into just another "body swap" comedy. I'm even getting tired of Pixar's animation. Except for a few elements of the afterlife, this is a very bland looking film.

Painted Veil -Now that's some really good cinema. Well written, very well acted drama, some really nice cinematography. It's not quite on the level of, say, "Out of Africa" or "Year of Living Dangerously" for me, but still, a very good movie.

Brubaker - based on a real story of a new warden trying to reform a hopelessly corrupt prison. Very memorable, bleak low-key film. Fantastic performance by Redford. And, as a sort of bonus in retrospect, an interesting short appearance of young Morgan Freeman.

Wonder Woman 84 - garbage. Just.. garbage. I loved the first film, but this is like if Batman & Robin was a direct follow-up to Burton's first Batman. It's cheesy, campy, nonsensical in the extreme and boring. The only bright spot is Pedro Pascal as Max Lord. It's not faithful to the comic book character, but at least Pascal tries really acts his heart out trying to make his Lord compelling.

@Bruja

I did see WW 84 - yeah, I didn't care for it either. Previous WW movie was leagues better.

I also thought ZS's Justice League was fantastic too. Preferred Zack's take on this much better than the mess Whedon pumped-out.

I'm just glad that we're getting more proper Asterix films, after what to me was the abomination of Asterix and the Vikings... However looking at the synopsis it does look like it flits with the problem Vikings had: it not being a story centered around Asterix and Obelix.
But yes, story wise they've kind of already adapted the stories that could best be turned into movies, and I'm not really sure I'm keen on an original take not from the minds of Uderzo/Goscinny. But I don't know what of the remaining books could still work as films. Asterix and the Laurel Wreath perhaps, or maybe a combination of 2 stories, as they did with the Asterix and the Big Fight film.

Really? I quite liked that one. I don't remember much beyond that though. What I really hated was all live action ones. Those never worked for me.

Yeah, I agree, that is probably the biggest issue I had with it. It didn't bother me too much I think because I also always liked the druid, so I'm fine with him stealing some of the spotlight.

It's been a while since I read most of them. I think Asterix and the Magic Carpet and maybe Asterix and the Picts could work. Though the first one was done by Uderzo alone, and the latter is the first from a whole new creative team (surprisingly good though).
I think the last movie I watched was Unhinged, about a woman who pisses off the wrong guy in traffic and he goes on to ruin her life. It's often unintentionally funny in how this guy causes bloody havoc in public and no one notices because literally all of them are just checking their phones (or filming him while he stabs a man to death and not making any effort to help). Russell Crowe is looking pretty rough these days.

Purely viewed as an animated film it's perfectly ok. It's good even. But as an Asterix film I had a huge problem with it: it wasn't actually an Asterix adventure. It was a story about Justforkix, and his invented love interest Abba. Asterix and Obelix actually took backseat to the adventure of those two, who to top it off end up in a climactic final struggle against the big baddie, share a 'romantic' kiss and then marry. I mean, they Disney-fied an Asterix story, which I just couldn't get past. Asterix stories and films are about as far removed from the classic Disney formula as you can get.

Picts actually looks ok at a glance, so I should definitely try it. The last one I read was All at Sea, and even though it was Uderzo's work, to me the tremendous drop in quality sadly signalled the end of Asterix. Hence I didn't really bother with anything after it, but perhaps that was a mistake and I should give Picts a try.
The Magic carpet has a lot of potential yeah, but I'm afraid in today's politically correct climate they will be too afraid to try it :P I suppose Asterix in Switzerland or an animated Olympic games could also work though come to think of it. Or even Asterix and the Great Divide.
