In the UK at least, this isnt a thing for most people - unless you mean a liquid dinner!? ;)

Edit: xmas day / boxing day are the main dinner winners here

Here in Portugal the tradition is to eat boiled cod fish with boiled potatoes (pic attached).

Of all the cod fish dishes we have (and we have a LOT), they had to choose this one!!
Not my favourite at all, but it's the tradition, so what can I do

Family tradition of chili. My grandmother did it because it was the cheapest way to feed 20 people. My mom did after my grandmother died. My mom hasn't been able to do it so I've been doing it for the last 10 years.
Block of cheese.

American waiter asks if you would like cheese with that?

For me, nothing special, a pizza, probably with some added toppings, and maybe a Belgian beer.
Sweetbread roll with walnut and chocolate. It's only one of the traditional Christmas dinner courses in this part of the world, but all the others are heavy on meat and fat, what others jokingly call "heart-attack in your 40s" dishes. I generally skip those :P.

Remember folks, if tradition is bad for you, then tradition can go f... ind itself a place in the annals of history :P.

Beetroot soup with dumplings, fried salmon, some vegetable salad and... probably that will be everything I can handle. :)
English pub style Fish & Chips. Either Haddock, or if we are feeling decadent, Halibut.
What a great idea for a topic! We are lucky enough to be invited to my sons house for whatever they want to cook. So grateful.
A traditional British dish called... Italian Pizza... :-)
My family has this pancake themed dinner planned: everyone gets a little pancake pan, and a thing with an open flame, and then you create your own stuffed pancake at the dinner table from a variety of fillings.
It means I will probably go hungry, since each time I've been to a dinner like that, I failed to get the hang of it :\

Prepared by a Pakistani in a Fish&Chips shop. As is tradition.
I follow West Norwegian tradition and prepare cured rib of lamb, desalinated overnight and then steamed until tender and fried for about 5 min. in the oven. Served with potatoes and slices of boiled swede (ha ha). Dark beer or/and aquavit goes well with this meal.

If you consider something even more traditional, see attached pic. Yes, that's half a sheep's head.
