My Chargers lost today and we are pretty much out of the playoffs so that did not make me happy. But then I went to work bartending and made good tips so I can buy a few Christmas presents for my family (and maybe a game or two for me).

Merry X-Mas and Happy Holidays!
Christmas (and vacations) are coming closer by the hour! Yey!
Defragging my hard drive is making me happy. Yep. :)

AgentBirdnest: I met a friend in real life today after only knowing her online for several years. It was really fun :-)
Hey, that's awesome:) I hope you two got along swimmingly.

I get to my see my 2 year old cousin today and I'm always pleased to spend time with her. I know everyone says this about little lads and lasses in their family but she's really smart for her age; she speaks in complete sentences and has a very keen sense of what she is about. Constantly learning and constantly a source of joy, amusement, and 'teachable moments'.

I don't really wants kids, never have, but someday I will teach her all about gem-mining, weaponsmithing, beer brewing, and orc slaying! Baruk Khazad indeed.
Getting my Dwarf Demonologist past the starting area and not getting killed by a rare monster in ToME :)

I'm glad you had a nice time with your cousin. I'm sure you will teach her to be a might Dwarven lass, fully versed in the arts of mining, weaponsmithing, Orc hunting, and of course, the number one Dwarf activity, drinking! :-)

Just finished my final exams so I finally have a chance to kick back and travel, as well as enjoy the mountain of games I bought over the last couple sales at gog. YAY! :)
I managed to un-break my machine (yay!).

After I tried installing Catalyst last week in order to get a better gaming experience (having run the open-source radeonsi drivers thus far) and then not managing to get into a graphical environment at all (not even the login manager), I went out drinking on Friday and didn't get much done the rest of the weekend either, I now managed to reinstall the open-source drivers and start using the machine again.

JMich: Ballmer's Peak!
If only that'd help me get This War of Mine to look passable. That game was the primary reason I took the chance with Catalyst to begin with.

Day off work and beer. Good combo.

MunkiSiren: It's wasn't today but yesterday I saw Nick Cave and it was freaking amazing!!!

misteryo: That's pretty sweet. I've never seen him live. What stuff was he playing?
He was magical :D

He sung:

We Real Cool,The Weeping Song, Red Right Hand, Sad Waters, Higgs Boson Blues, Mermaids, The Ship Song, From Her to Eternity, Love Letter, Waters Edge, Black Hair, Darker With the Day, The Mercy Sea, Jubilee Street. For the encore he performed We No Who U R, Up Jumped the Devil, Breathless, Jack The Ripper, The Lyre of Orpheus and Into My arms. ( I think I might be missing some..)
He only had two of the Bad Seeds with him that night but they were all fantastic :D

This version... fantastic: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c8CpUIx6rc4

That'll have to do for my bit of happy today. The rest of the day was meh at best. Gonna have to pour a bit of Don Julio to raise the average.
A joint..
