To find out that the brain tumour a good friend of mine has is not malignant. :-)

We (me and my buddy with whom I make games) were just accepted into a competition that officially had its deadline a while ago - and despite not quite fulfilling certain requirements. The contact guy was really nice and went the extra mile to get us in. We're probably not gonna win anything but I'm happy that we're getting the chance and that somebody cared so much.

At the moment I'm happy to be a good chunk into my 2nd book of this week, having finished one yesterday (I'm participating in a week long readathon). Haven't been reading in awhile due to busy life, so being able to sit down and make time to read has been awesome.

Tearing down a machine in preparation to move it and reassemble elsewhere. They gave me helpers... that actually stick around and help! And they actually know what they're doing! Actually friggin' unbelievable! I usually get some slack-jawed Stupid Question Generator who disappears every 10-15 minutes. Oh, and they're willing to work Sunday so that will save me a day of sitting around the hotel.
