After years of stomach pains (triggered by all sorts of meals or stress, sometimes even coming out of nowhere) and numerous visits to different doctors in both Germany and Poland my Mom finally found someone who actually managed to successfully treat me without even meeting me in person - my Mom just described my condition and voila. Apparently it just took some pills. Have been taking them for a week now and like the doctor expected my condition has already notably improved. My stomach has been perfectly calm over the last days in situations that definitely would have resulted in agonizing pain not that long ago. As a bonus I seem to sweat less.
The same woman (yes, it's a she-doctor - and from what I've heard more than eighty years old) apparently also managed to successfully treat my Dad. He's been suffering from some chronic condition for more than a year that would result in sudden life-threatening situations every couple of weeks, sometimes even just days. He had to be rushed to the hospital dozens of times over the last months and the doctors had no idea what may be the cause, he actually even underwent surgery that didn't have any notable effect. Ultimately someone at the hospital recommended that woman. She instantly came up with a diagnosis that was perfectly unrelated to any of the other doctors' theories, prescribed my Dad some stuff and he hasn't experienced that inflammation ever since.
I'm just so friggin' happy.

It's great to hear that your lengthy bout with stomach pain may soon come to an end. I understand that given enough time, persistent stomach pains become nearly unbearable. And I sincerely hope the pains do not resurface in any tangible form! For myself, today is definitively poised to begin a pleasant summer. The morning began with 3 hours of sleep (signaling the end of roughly 110 continuous hours of consciousness), a wonderful lack of vomiting blood after taking out my nightly IV and a 5 hr. shift at work this afternoon, marking the start of temporary full time summer hours.
It is barely 1/3 past, but today may just turn out to be fantastic.

My shiny new and original (I checked) Oh By The Way CD box set by Pink Floyd arrived today.
All 14 studio albums painstakingly reproduced in miniature as they were originally released back in the day. Right down to miniature postcards, miniature stickers, miniature posters, miniature everything. Wish You Were Here even comes sealed in black shrink wrap with a sticker just like the LP in 1975. And I got it for a criminally low price that I almost feel a little guilty about.
I think I'm having a simultaneous music nerdgasm and premature eargasm. *squeeeeeeeee*
P.S.: I don't squee.

What didn't make me happy today is the question! :)
In terms of gaming, I get wind of the Omerta giveaway with less than an hour left. And when I log in, I found out I won a game in the Bazookery giveaway last weekend.
I should really find time to log in more often hehe:).

Moving in with the missus in a week or so. Got about as short a notice as I would find tolerable, but I suppose it's nice to get the bloody thing over with.

I moved house recently and my cats have been distressed and not eating much, hiding etc...
Well they've both been wandering around today AND they pooped today! Woohoo! That made me happy :)
Strange how something like poop can make your day...

Today I got the day off (usually I have to work Tuesdays). I slept in, finished the main campaign of Dragon Age:Origins, and just ate a tasty burger. If the weather holds out I'm going to a free concert tonight, but even if it rains, it's been a good day.
