vicklemos: First time posting in this thread.
Believe it or not but I found (after 70% uphill walking around 6km on a cold and windy day) a 3D card lying in the sidewalk. It was standing there, dusty, no damage apparent. Found it on a residential area in here, suburban homes. It was just standing there, waiting for me.
dtgreene: After reading this part of your post, I was actually thinking that you found some sort of holographic card, not something that you would put in a computer.
Hahaha some sort of... 3D holographic paper card, right?
Yep, that's WAY MORE feasible...
Still, I'm a father of (almost) 3yr old twin kids, have my lovely wife (nope, she's not reading this! :P) so there's no reason for me to get into liar liar mode in a community forum. Not for me.
I'm just a regular Joe with a regular job. I'm your average white suburbanite slob. I like football and porno (nah, it's highly addictive) and books about war. I've got an average house with a nice hardwood floor. My wife and my job, my kids and my car, my feet on my table and a Cuban cigar...
Apart from that last paragraph (got the reference? ;P) that's all true. The card's a little beat up but I'm using it and, surprisingly, it works quite well on oldies -such as Railroad Tycoon 2- that I couldn't get to run with my old GeForce card.
I'll attach a pic for posterity. Damn... just thinking about it makes it sound like a huge lie. Literally, it was just standing there. The moment was amazingly right, can't deny that.
But there are folks out there who end up finding suitcases filled with thousands of dollars, so I'm not that lucky, right? :P
