ScotchMonkey: Dude Fruit loops are the BOMB!

I loved it when I used to vape.

If you like that try Pebbles.
This was a really great recommendation.

I'm crazy for this ANML Looper (and ANML Carnage too) and I didn't realize Pebbles was created by the same guy(Philip Rocke), and it sounds just the kind of thing I'd like. Even better still, when I was researching it I found a B&M store not far from me sells the stuff, so I'm going to pick some up the next time I'm there.

Thanks, good call!

ON-TOPIC: I did an accidental wheelspin in my car pulling away from some traffic lights that made me look like a much better driver than I really am
I got invited to dinner at my brother's place. My nephew who is studying cooking (following in the footsteps of his father) was making dinner. See attached picture for what we ate.

At the top of the plate you see two types of beets made up assembled in little towers, below and to the right are three kinds of small potatoes that were boiled and then roasted in duck grease. At the bottom so parsley for color. And on the left of the plate the star of the show. Apple slices at the bottom, potato slices over them, then havarti cheese, duck confit and two types of mushrooms on top, all covered in a brown sauce.

It was very good, the cheese could have been something less firm but my nephew is lactose intolerant so he does not know cheeses yet.

My brother helped him a bit but only by keeping an eye on what was on the oven and helping cutting the vegies. The entire concept was from my nephew's mind.

I griped a bit about driving in the 'personal hate' thread, but heading west this evening on the way home from Green Bay I was treated to a really nice sunset /cloudscape for about half an hour. Sometimes the driving provides these nice moments.

And yesterday on the way back from the Twin Cities I was passed by a Fisker Karma. Gorgeous car.
Yesterday I finally finished my list of games in excel. It shows what games of what genre I have on what platform, whether I have a DRM free copy of them, and also my wishlisted games+their full price and the greatest discount they ever had.
I even added some "excel magic", to color the game cells depending on their genre, and what platform I have them on :D
No more chaos among my games, yay!!!

And today I had my first archery lesson :)
Today, I found out that Mallrats 2 will be filmed at a mall just 20 minutes away from my hometown. I would be willing to work for free as an extra.
After hesitating a very long time, i.e. since about their entry on the market, I got myself a smart phone.

I got a new guy (5 days old) at the store so there was a couple of hick-up during the transaction and setup but I've been "new guy" often enough that I didn't mind.

My previous cell phone's reception was mostly non-existent in my basement apartment. This one seems to work fine which means I'll soon get rid of my land line.

The phone is an LG G3. They unfortunately were out of protecting cases for it but I'll probably find something cheaper online anyway.

Cavenagh: I'm going to look into other options, problem is I'm unemployed, so can't afford private treatment. the whole point of getting my one missing tooth at the front fixed00, is so I can go for interviews,

I think it's a bit drastic, tellimg me I have to get all my teeth out, I might just stick with what I have, and not go again to the dentist!.

in fact I'm going to get a sceond opinion...

All the best **SMILE** :(
If you're on the dole then dental care is free. It should be possible to get some option that doesn't leave you with some ill-fitting dentures all at cost to the tax payer. Hey, it's what you were paying for when you did have a job, so you might as well cash in now.
My late unhappiness. When i successfully apply emotional transmutation over it, it suddenly changes to the complete opposite side (happiness). Plus i can use it for leverage, as well, or an excuse to seize whatever i can/will/desire, as usual... I am severely handicapped in this "game", so i am going to utilize everything in- no, well, actually everything, far beyond my own power, as a means to an end. But the result varies and is unpredictable. Sometimes, i feel like a wild mage from BG2 and stuff. This whole mess has started to creep me out too (besides bugging and partially tormenting me), but at least i become forcibly happy as one of the beneficial side effects, of the controlled at will category.

Apartment is now squeeky clean. Nothing else though.
New glasses, I can see again.
A couple of days ago I ended up having a particularly bad day with a series of about 15 events all going very wrong, some of them interrelated and others just random coincidences. It was one of those days that some other folks might label as "when it rains, it pours". I don't believe in such myself, but coincidences can and do happen both good and bad, and the other day was of the bad type. It seemed like just about everything that could go bad did. I don't want to go into details about it here as this is supposed to be about what made your day happy here, but I needed to set up the scenario first. :)

So, the super short version was I had problems with an ad company I deal with which caused me to lose a small amount of money on some domains, problems with 2 of my registrars, a power outage that murdered 2 computers, took my primary MTA offline so no email service, injured my leg (lots of blood but just a small wound), and several other horror stories. All in all a pretty crappy day in a nutshell. (The full story would be about 8 pages so I'll stop there! <grin>)

Yesterday... I got a notification on Facebook from GOG for their promo and went to the GOG site to have a quick peek at the latest. I noticed I have a bunch of notifications waiting and had a quick look. I'm quite behind on my GOG notifications overall as I haven't been following the forums closely for the last several weeks, but I had a private message waiting in which a kind and generous person unexpectedly gifted me 2 games out of the blue that they had which they saw were on my wishlist! It really put a smile on my face and dug me out of the negative mind state that I had been in for the last 24+ hours before that with my string of bad events. I went to sleep super tired having stayed up for far too long beyond what I should have, and ended up sleeping for about 18+ hours! Feeling much more refreshed today now and in positive spirits despite still having to tackle some of the problems that arose the other day.

Very grateful to the wonderful community here!
I made my first two jars of jam.

There are several bushes growing in the yard, covered in the kind of speckled red berries you'd guess would kill you. Some time ago, I tracked down what they were. They're an invasive species called Autumn Olive or Japanese Elderberry. Supposedly, they're safe to eat. The jam is super tasty, at least.

I should post my spare gog keys here in case I've made a grave mistake.
More of a yesterday-ish deal, but... close enough! ;)

I quit my lousy job last week, and I already have a new full-time job with better schedule, benefits, and working conditions lined up as of yesterday/today. In addition, it looks like it'll only be a downtime of one week in between jobs. I'm doing good, baby! :)
I found THIS!
