ChaunceyK: I promise your jaw will drop before the end of this.
OK WOW your comment seemed so sure I had to check and you are totally right.

justanoldgamer: Yesterday and today I overcame anxiety issues that plague me even in the privacy of my home. The two things I did would have my teenage self roll his eyes but they are things I haven't done in decades because of fear of failure. I fear being judged and my harshest judge is myself.
Congrats on overcoming your anxiety :)

Thanks but I wish I had overcome all of my anxiety issues. I just won a couple of battles in a war that began long ago and subtly enough that I was not even conscious of it. The battles I have won I have to re-fight until they are routine instead of battles.
Souths just won the Auckland Nines:-)
My two-year-old fridge still works.

An item at the back of the top shelf in the fridge can divert the flow of cold air from the freezer directly onto the fridge section temperature sensor. Moments after the compressor starts, the fridge mistakenly decides that it is cool enough, and halts the cooling cycle again. Neither section gets properly cold.

Thanks, GE.

It was an interesting mystery for two days, somewhat spoiled by the looming cost of a new fridge.

HypersomniacLive: My friend had the procedure today as planned and it was a success.

*breathes a relief and does a happy dance*
My friend is doing a little bit better today.

Very glad to hear this :-)

Got an e-mail that my defective drive has reached Seagate. Hopefully the replacement is on its way.

Yesterday I saw that Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath is available on Android (and with very few permissions required), and that looks like something I could add to my backlog once I finish some more games.

Edit: Oh, I was also happy to discover that Vamirella Masters Vol 1 wasn't totally boring, and actually had decent stories at the end.

Thank you! And everyone else who's shown concern and support! :-)
She did :)
Finally getting a fingernail grip on Quickbooks, wife has a roast in the oven so the house smells better and better by the minute, got my taxes done "early" and have an appointment with the accountant tomorrow (expecting bad news but that's tomorrow's problem), bumped into the neighbor yesterday and he might finally be ready to sell his lot - at a price we can swallow, and I just poured myself a tall shot of mezcal.
I was driving back home after running some errands when I saw a really neat snowman in the neighborhood. The little guy gave me such a feel good feeling that I had to stop by to take a picture before it melted. Attached is the snowman I saw, probably no more than 3 feet tall but it looked nice (even without an eye) and it was the only one I saw in the area so it was nice to see anyway. :)

No problem, I am glad it made someone else happy too. It is such a nice looking snowman and the unique scarf the snowman has is not something I see on snowmen often. :) It gave me such a delight to see the snowman stand while the snow in the area was melting. Thanks for your reply and good work on your OTT giveaways!
It snowed in the morning! It really made my day beautiful!
