Seriously someone with the name "qp0n" works for the support? Not even real names?

Right... because that makes someone a specialist. A real name.
What kind of thread is this?

And who defines the reality of a name anyway.
okay seems like according to OP having a real name increases support quality :D
So seems like OP loves the indian call centers of Microsoft or Dell - i mean while the quality of the support there may vary a lot (i have very good and very bad experiences) at least everybody is called Steve or Dave or Michael there -.-
But ya honestly speaking support can be called 53gjtgj43it393t030 for all what i care as long as the quality of the support is good and for as long as support doesnt change their name/code twice daily ^^ - so ya not really seeing the problem here ^^
At least you didn't meet pr0n.

No, but such a name doesn't sound trustful. Maybe it is different in Greece but in Germany the support actually uses real names.

I had a similar thought after chuckling at the thread title.

Did they solve your problem?

See what the people above have replied. It should cover you. Also, you're on a gamer dominated site. Handles is what everyone goes by.

dunno as we were talking about support in a gaming context i dont feel for the need at all for support carrying around their real names - especially while being within forum borders

Yeah, I have to say that I always thought GOG personnel was filled with gamers or at the very least ex-gamers and usernames makes it feel more personal but without invading privacy. Real names and internet doesn't go well together to be honest, you never know what kind of creepy stalkers are out there.

OP: Did they solve your problem?
Hint: Judas Iscariot is not Judas' real name. But I do get the feeling he's going to betray GOG one day.

Well, to be fair they did receive a support ticket from "DanTheKraut". I'm assuming that isn't your real name. I can tell you that Wishbone sure as hell isn't mine.

No, the problem was not solved.

BTW when I write to the support I actually use my real name.
