I can't login to the site because the captcha doesn't even work correct. I get some "Your computer or network may send automated requests. For the protection of our users, we are currently unable to process your request." error message and that's it. No way to login at all using a browser. Only GOG Galaxy is working at the moment for me. This totally sucks.

I've been on gog for several years. I tried Galaxy a while back and used it, but at some stage I deleted it. Frankly I don't remember why, maybe I had some problem back then and did not want to mess with it. Or maybe it was because I changed computers and was not buying games for a while.

Anyway, I just downloaded the latest version and tried it. I was very unhappy to see the photo captchas being used. This is the most irritating login method I have ever seen. If the photos were somewhat clearer, and if I was not being asked to jump through multiple stages of this process, I would not mind so much.

But just now I am still trying to get past these captchas, and I'm already done wasting my time. I refuse to use a feature that insults me with images that are hard to make out, and wastes my time. So I'm giving up and uninstalling Galaxy. If I read on this forum that this particular captcha method is no longer used, I will try Galaxy again.

BTW I am using the same computer and the same email I have used recently to order and download a bunch of games the old-fashioned way.

At least gog.com does not force me to use Galaxy. If it ever does, I will stop buying games here. (I have bought quite a few). Of course if there is ever a requirement to be connected online to install a game, or play in single-player mode, this is another deal breaker.

Meanwhile, I am getting ready to buy some more games for the holidays. :)

The Captcha crap needs to go. It's s easy to read up on WHY captcha is a pest.

There's a whishlist item for this. Everyone needs to go and bump that thing.

It's a piece of shit idea I have to deal with every time i log in. Fucking stupid since images are hard to recognize.
