BreOl72: Ok then - I'll sacrifice myself:

it's Mel Brooks' "High Anxiety" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=piLjE4U2mEs XD
Yeah congratulations.

(I was hesitating to switch to the poster of the latest dc/marvel movie and stick to that.)
In which "movie masterpiece" starred this young man?

Is the young actor from E.T. as Elliott? ^_^

Not too bad for a first guess, but no - this young man is not Elliott from E.T. :)

However, since we reached Spielberg so quickly, I guess I can give my second clue:

Hint 2: It's no coincidence, that the movie has been described by some as "Spielberg-ish", most probably because it got released only a few years after E.T., and because it featured similar ingredients as the Spielberg movie.

As a matter of fact, the movie in question was the second commercially release ever by a director who is nowadays a household name for a lot of movie buffs, quite comparable to Spielberg.
was it directed by Randal Kleiser?

Dejavous: was it directed by Randal Kleiser?
Nope - it's not "Flight of the Navigator". ;)
The Good the Bad and the Ugly?

Dr_Adder: The Good the Bad and the Ugly?
Nope.
Photo of a memorable(?) scene:
Our main protagonist and his girlfriend have an otherworldly experience.

Was going to say Mac and Me at first, but with that degree of telekinesis on display I'm leaning more towards Joey(?).
Wow, that's one messed up looking kid's movie.

We have a winner! :)
It's "Joey" (or "Making Contact" for our friends in the US).

Your turn.

Those suffering from a severe case of automatonophobia/pupaphobia might want to approach this one with caution, too.

And now for something completely different:

I'd say, Chucky is worse... ;)
One of, if not THE most unusual pull over in cinematic history.
