Skreczi: Yes - isnt this on a sin? You know - creator try to make a BladeRunner spin off. According to me this one is not good enough to be a spin off of such a masterpeace
Ralackk: At the risk of being mocked and shunned from the gog community I actually like Soldier. To make it worse I don't like Blade Runner. That being said I don't think Soldier has that much in common with Blade Runner. Blade Runner has replicants trying to be human and Soldier is about the old soldiers being replaced by a genetically engineered super soldiers.
well thats ok :) Its your opinion and your taste :) I am big fan of BR verse soe let me say what it has in common.
David Peoples - co writer of the script to Blade Runner. He consider it to be a (and here comes a wikipedia because I forget what did he exacly said/write) "sidequel/spiritual successor of BR.
Mr. Peoples (awesome last name I must say :) ) said, that genetic soldiers from Soldiers are replicants. Also you can spot some vehicles from BR in the movie. Also Tod serve in the battles of Tannhauser Gate and Shoulder of Orion (check Roys Batty last words :) ).
Still this movie has a lot of other movies references (veteran records of Tod were references to some Satr Trek, The Thing and many more) so it is literally a gold pit of all easter egg fans :)
I must say that I watch this movie as a kid so I need to recheck my facts about tastiness of this flick - but fact that main hero speaks only 104 words not helps my opinion ;)
