I remember playing it when I was small.

It is a top down tank game. Layout is sort of like atomic bomberman, and the arena is big rectangle. As you pass levels, your tank will "evolve" to more futuristic looking form. Tank seems to shoot lasers, and the enemy tank wander around the map.

speaking of which, i want atomic bomberman on gog

Nope. If it helps, the screenshot resolution might be misleading. The other images they had at that size, though, would really have given the game away.
