Indeed, it's not Gods. Didn't take a closer look, the interface is different and the graphics are far worse but the main character and the enemies look a whole lot like in Gods, thought that it's maybe some bad port. Have no idea what this one is then.

Yeah, I remember playing Gods too. The characters were bigger, more detailed and bulkier. This game was probably a rip-off of the many similarly themed action games of the day. Probably by a now defunct, smaller studio. For some reason the name has always lingered in my memory, which is why I posted it here.
