cheeseslice73: Nonsense. Bully is just GTA in short trousers. Skool Daze and it's successor remain unique.

Daedolon: Would you or anyone happen to remember the name of a DOS era game that basically plays like Bully and looks like that Skool Daze mentioned.
I must say, I don't.

There have been occasional conversions of School Daze and Back to Skool, (Klass of 99, but that's Windows based). And the author of School Daze also produced another game called Contact Sam Cruise using a similar graphic style, but nothing off the top of my head that plays like Bully.

I know I'm not the original poster but you're entirely right. :) This is actually the first one in the whole lot of the topic that I've gone through that I actually would have been able to identify (well aside from a few of the jokier ones on the first page).

Oh it was Windows based? Well I found e game by checking those names on YouTube. Cheers.

I've never said that Bully was better, but it shares the same spirit, where you play a school boy who can (or want to) do what he wants.

If you can't see any similar aspects in those games, I can't help you...

Z: Steel Soldiers ?
Oh wow Z...
That would explain why it looked so familiar.
Back then my best friend and his dad were crazy about this game.. I just liked the humor.
This is why I love this topic, some games shouldn't be forgotten.

Unless it happens to be called Isle of the Dead, then it should be forgotten.

Yup! I haven't played Steel Soldiers much... I have the CD lying around somewhere, so hopefully I'll get around to it some day. The original Z was awesome though, I wouldn't mind seeing that one get remade.

I never played the 2nd one but I recognised the icon for units, remembered that there was a sequel and utilised the power of google!

Anyway, here is a picture from a cutscene from the next game.

It shares a lot more in common with Rockstars Gangster games that let you do what you want, than Skool Daze though. Indeed, once you've sat through all the classes, the school stuff becomes very downplayed in the later chapters. Right up until the point where it bugged out and became unfinishable for me.
