Hello foxgog, it is definitely it! Great game which has flow, I would say this game is underrated and I can recommend it.

Yes, to both of your posts.
It is one of my favourite ZxSpectrum games, "Alien 8".

The screenshot which I used is the game over screen, displaying a short animation sequence in which the little robot gets punched and "reprogrammed" (repurposed).

Now, it is your turn!

Correct! It even includes a boss monster that only exists in the PSX version. Sadly, it's not a very good version, partially due to the controls, and due to the long load times.
