All they talk about on news is will they legalize mariijuana. So the age old question is why do you care what someone does. Alcohol is worse, smoking is bad (Haha mr .Mmqay.

I smoked once and got out of the friends car and ran around car 3 times, stopped, grabbed a slimjim and went inside to play Oblivion.

I dont think its addictive as I didnt do it again.

Its not as if we have to be stoutheart enough to be able to do what we want with our body. If I want to pour motor oil in my ears I have the right to nascar myself. Right?

Considering how you composed the title of this thread I find it very hard to believe that you "...didn't do it again."

You dont need Marijuana when you have Whats it called again- Perphenazine. Yeah thats it. Its the stuff that gives you muscle and makes you gain weight. I'd still be a scrawny little shit like everyone else if I didnt get that stuff.
Yes.
Next!
It still isn't all that healthy. You're still inhaling a cocktail of chemicals.

Also, dat stuff is stank.
inhaling smoke of any kind is bad for your lungs, and may cause nosebleeds even without all those pesticides and perfume filler in all cigarettes. still it's pretty ridiculous throwing people in jail for decades sometimes, for something that's less harmful than drunk-driving. it's like governments are in bed with drug and alcohol companies.

Over here there is no 'like'. :P The tobacco lobby is HUUUUGE and weighs in a lot on politics. Not as much as it used to be because people eventually started getting tired of their duly elected representatives telling people there was no proof that smoking was unhealthy.
Three thoughts on this...

1) Everything in moderation

2) If you make it illegal or not easily accessible, it will still be sold and distributed

3) Chemically created drugs are far harder on you than herbs.
Sir Walter Raleigh, such a stupid git.
When they ban cigarettes, they will make weed legal.
Why,because they need the taxes to supplement the
massive taxes on cigarettes.
In Australia they whinge about smokers costing the
taxpayers billions in medical costs, strange how they
don't mention the 10x tax they make off cigarettes...
Never did drugs, never will. At least the illegal type. Mostly because I never cared. I am of a personal creed that I need to improve my body beyond limits and be superior both mentally, physically, psychologically, and intellectually than others, thus using literal shit that makes "my worries go away" and "makes me happy" while having side effects on various parts of the body is a no go for me. On the other hand, I do not care what people are using and doing as long as it doesn't affect me.
In the U.S. "medical" mj is already legal in close to half of states, and recreational is legal in 3 plus D.C. as a result of voter initiatives.

And unlike same-sex marriage it's not that likely it will see major backlash on the street.

Now, whether Congress comes around to legalizing it, that's another issue, since there's no such thing as a citizen initiative at the federal level, and elected representatives can be boug....errrr, what I meant to say is "persuaded to see an alternative view of the issue completely unrelated to the large amount of money just donated to their re-election fund."

So okay, it'll probably be a while, both federally and in most of the states that don't have any sort of mechanism for citizens to vote directly on the issue.

lol at the people thinking you only smoke it.

You can make edibles and liquid substances that you ingest orally.

I myself would like to start growing and make a businesses out of it.
Thinking it'll make it to a third of the states in the next ten years, and that might be underestimating how fast it goes. And that's fine, but I do hope the states take a good long look at those first couple states (CO and WA now?) to see all of the good and bad that has come from legalization and then carefully tailor their own laws in order to allow the most personal freedom while still protecting those who may suffer the second-hand consequences, whatever those may be.

But at the very least I'd like to see the medical marijuana laws spread. There have been some dramatic effects in a step-nephew once-removed or however that works, who was suffering from seizures very often, until they were able to get him on MM. Big help.

Anyway, I don't plan to partake should it become legal. Wasn't really interested before and this wouldn't change that. Got enough distractions to deal with, don't need another.
Won't somebody please think of the rabbits?
