Leroux: Okay, thinking about it a little, trying to play along, maybe:
;)

It's all for fun. I do too much research on most games and have a very limited games budget, so... this is just for kicks.

Anyway, if the economy keeps going the way it's been... not many games at all being purchased by me in the near future. Yikes!
None. I take my money very, very seriously. I've played games completely blind without research, but they were all mass giveaways.
Too many to list but some of the older Terminator games like 2029 would be a good start.
The last "PC" game I bought new in box without looking at it or even hearing about it beforehand as soon as it appeared in stores was Fallout 2. The last console game of that nature I bought was Disgaea 2. I did not regret either purchase although Disgaea 2 was meh). There is pretty much no way to have a game appear out of nowhere these days without at least a year of rumors and previews. I also pretty much need for the game to appear on gog, so e.g. Disgaea 5 would've been a no-brainer, but instead I'll probably never play it. So, I guess I'll say that I would buy Disgaea 6 sight unseen if it appeared on gog. I can't think of any other franchise I want to see continued (even with the ftbf mod, Fallout 3 killed my interest in that franchise), and even Disgaea I am unsure of since I haven't played 3-5 (and 2 wasn't better than 1 in every way; in fact it was worse in some ways).

I guess somewhat related to Fallout: I would've also said Arcanum 2 if by the same people, but then I remembered what Outer Worlds became.
It depends on more meat, but let's play;

I bought most of those.
Anything remaining would be "rescued from extinction" situations; Voxar's Tumblebugs comes to mind.
Dungeon Master 1+2
Star General and War Wind remakes or re-imaginings
Command and Conquer 5
Privateer 3
Distant Worlds 2
Total War Warhammer 3
Fantasy General 3
Civilization X ( Alpha Centauri, Beyond Earth , ....... )
Civilization VII ( actually i'm lying about the classical range of civ products, i usually buy those 3 to 4 years after release with any and all dlc package discounted )
Final Fantasy VII for pc
Falling Frontier

Sarafan: Next on my list is Baldur's Gate 3.
I'd buy Baldur's Gate 3 day 1 if it was BG3, not Divinity Original Sin 3. I have nothing against DOS3, but I wanted real BG3. I will buy it anyway, but definitely not day 1.

Chasmancer: Red Alert 4
I would have agreed on this if it wasn't for Command & Conquer 4, which I bought on Day 1. Sitting there thinking to myself, why would they deliberately take everything good about the series and replace it with shit? :P

Just BTW, RA 3 and CC 3 are IMO both masterpieces.

It has strong Divinity Original Sin 2 vibes, but TBH I expected that to happen. There's something specific in the engine Larian uses and it may contribute to the general atmosphere of the game a lot. Anyway, people are saying that the game is great in what it is. I'm a fan of the series and would prefer something that's closer to the original games, but will be pleased with this form of BG3 as well. :)

That's an unpopular statement, but I agree with it. These two are great RTS games. I'd certainly like to see a continuation of the series, but given the fact that C&C4 was horrible and the fact that the genre is more or less dead, it seems highly unlikely.

Hades (from Supergiant Games), as soon as it gets a DRM-free release. No matter if it’s on GOG, Humble Bundle, itch.io or wherever else, as long as it’s free from third-party clients.

C&C4 isn't even the worst of the lot, bad as it is. Star Wolves 2 and Sacred 3/Citadel were way worse, and Larian wasted an excellent concept and graphics with Dragon Commander, all to raise funds to make a bland, generic and uninspired turn-based RPG. They really should've done this the other way around as they initially wanted to.

Yet I'd buy any of those sequels anyway and hope for the best.

Agreed. Despite EA's reputation and piece of garbage that was C&C4, they made some very solid strategy games otherwise - Generals and Zero Hour, Tiberium Wars and Kane's Wrath, Red Alert 3 and Uprising, Battle for Middle-Earth 1, 2 and Witch-King.

The C&C Remaster is really good too. I mean, it's pretty much the same games, but being able to play them with a little crisper look in widescreen without all the chunkiness and patches makes it much more fun.
