16 of them because I couldn't be bothered to pull the trigger on most of em'. And one of them doesn't exist yet anyway.

The two I bought were basically a last minute shrug on two games I knew I'd like.
quite many games, more than i can list, mostly beacuse they do not interest me

edit - i find the question ridiculous and pointless. there are more than 5000 games on gOg, many of them where on the sale. most of them I did not buy - so what? did you buy all the games that where on sale? do you need a reason for evey single game that where on the sale and you did not buy?

one reason is listed - there are games I do not want to play and genres I do not care about,
other rewasons - I can not afford all of them, I did not notice them, I still think they are too expensive, I do not have the time right now to play them and so on.

Not sure if you want specific titles but most of my backlog that I'm doubtful I'll ever play and games with a discount below 50 %.
It is hilarious that some people here post how much they hate GOG but the free games in "The GOGmmunity Monthly Giveaway" are still good enough:

LOL!

Catventurer: I always have a spending limit, which means that I won't be buying everything that I potentially want just because it's on sale. A lot of stuff gets passed over because I reached my spending limit, and I wanted whatever I did purchase more than whatever I left behind on the wishlist. This time the cap was $20.

Since the sale is over, it would be easier for me to tell you what I did buy and not what I didn't.
I feel you. If I was rich, I'd buy like, a crapton of games, on sale or not. But to answer the OP, I didn't buy Fallen Enchantress: Ultimate Edition, largely because I already have HOMMV, a similar game and I haven't yet stopped enjoying it. Also, there were a few DVDs I wanted to snatch up.

I often have beef with mustard. Probably tastier than your option.

Terminator Resistance because it wasn't actually on sale lol.
Probably gonna skip Toonstruck and those two Star Trek games on my wishlist just because a 20% discount is somewhat pathetic when all those games are still like $8, but also because I not only have so many games I'm not playing, I am also being financially burdened more than usual and buying games even at that scant price adds up.

Ice_Mage: I did get 6 DLC though.
DLC is my bane; I have so many games missing the DLC! For a completionist, this kills me.

Timboli: No doubt setting a price for some games, perhaps many, is tricky. There is always going to be variance between what certain folk will think a game is worth and what other folk think it is worth. And there are so many factors to base your judgments on, along with personal desires and expectations.
Absolutely... and GOG isn't the sole player in pricing. But my issue with the last year or two has been the general sameness of pricing. Rarely is there an amazing deal. Instead there are many moderate deals that seem to see the same discount (or similar) on a regular basis. It makes the sales rather mundane and boring IMO... something a store doesn't want. Although...

... this sale did have one GREAT deal on Middle Earth Shadow of Mordor. A great price on a very good game. That was exceptional IMO.

Hope they can follow that up!

As for games I chose NOT to purchase this go 'round...

Betrayal at Krondor.

I've watched entire playthroughs, like the general gameplay, and even have the books... but I just can't seem to buy the games! I think I'm ambivalent to the early 3D graphics. If there was a graphics mod that even moderately updated the game, I'd probably buy it in a heartbeat... but essentially $4 for the game as-is? Just seems a little much.

Blade of Darkness.

This game is one of the reasons I joined GOG... and then when I went to purchase, promptly found out it had been de-listed. Now that it has returned, I am tempted... but... that price is still just a little too high IMO. Once it gets closer to $5 or $6 I'll probably get it; that seems to be my "sweet spot" ceiling for most classic games.

Arkham Horror Mother's Embrace.

Last year I badly wanted to play this around Halloween. Now, with all of the mediocre reviews, I still want to play it, but it will have to fall a bit more first.

Dungeons of Naheulbeuk.

One day when the base game and all of the DLC are around $10. Until then....

Mordheim DLC

I refuse to buy faction DLC until it falls in price. 2 factions for around $13 total!? C'mon Games Workshop!

Knights of the Chalice 2.

I understand it's a one-man show and he needs to make money, but... 5%!? Really?

Mafia Trilogy.

Two of my favorite games of all time... and one of my least favorites of all time. It was an ok price (approx $24), but I have all of the games on console... and although I want DRM-free copies... I'll wait for the price to drop a little more. I'd probably pay $15 or so in a second.

Yes, my biggest problem with GOG is that I have many games on console(s) already; most older games that come to GOG (non-DOS games) I already have. I've severely curtailed game spending the last few years, but even with that I've ended up looking at the infrequent GOG releases and contemplating whether I want to rebuy a game (this time for a DRM-free version). I'd love to rebuy everything and have DRM-free backups, but that's not practical IMO. So it's a lot of price watching and weighing things out.

HA! I spend too much time thinking about video games!!!! ;)

I think I (yet again) passed a couple of titles because there are so many separate DLCs, and either I don't want to weed through all of them what do I really want to/need to buy, or the price would become far too high with all of them included.

Stellaris, Starpoint Gemini Warlords and Age of Wonders: Planetfall are probably some of those.

HOWEVER, I did buy e.g. Galactic Civilizations III, as they are now offering a bundle including all the DLCs, and the price wasn't too bad. It used to have the same issue and quite many reviews of GC3 complain about exactly that, ie. there are so many separate DLCs and together it all costs a fortune. Well, not it is fixed, so at least I got the complete set.
I have to admit, that the pricing on many of the DLCs here is ridiculous. Often they don't add much, and buying them together costs more than the game.

I'm still waiting for Season Pass Two for Surviving Mars ... and at a decent price of course.

You can get sucked into these games with all the DLCs, like with the Dying Light, where they just keep coming, and while you can now buy a version of the game quite cheap that has all the DLC, too bad if you have been buying them all along. Just typical of how fans are often treated. Who wants to wait years for the Game Of The Year version that contains everything. I don't like being played, and these companies play you, take advantage.
I had hopes of seeing Grim Dawn's expansions cheaper than the usual sale price, but they never went on sale, or were part of the Insomnia Sale and I didn't catch them.

Anyways, there was once that email with temporary slightly higher discounts, but I took it as a sign that the DLCs would start going at least a bit cheaper soon, but they never went there again. :(

Maps galore, fan made, various standards, but some good ones,
Gave it a quick look. . .very interesting and kudos to the independent mapmakers. I've tried the random map generator and there's a lot I don't like about it(no way to produce a map where you can do anything other than set "acquire Tear of Asha as the objective, i.e. not collect it and install it in one of your cities, clunky U.I., etc.) Also, I know you can do some tinkering with some of HOMMV's files to allow a playable Tear of Asha scenario, but that level of "coding" scares me.
