I'm about 8 hours into a campaign with the Saxons in Total War: Attila.

The game has a bunch of negative reviews on Steam, mostly regarding Sega's terrible DLC practices (and I won't buy any of the DLC), but the Total War gameplay itself is still plenty good. I've played Rome, Medieval 2, Shogun 2, Rome 2, and now Attila and I'm still not burnt out on the formula. I usually only play a campaign or two per game, but I always enjoy the experience.

It would be nice if they came to GOG too.

Marvel Heroes 2016

I've almost brought all of the heroes up to level 10.

Stuck on a boss in Devilmaycry 4. A floating priest guy called Sanctus, I think. I was just enjoying myself.

Really f**ked up my day.

I tried to play Need For Speed: Most Wanted 2012 because EA gave it away for free. But my PC basically shat itself trying to run it, dropping frames like there is not tomorrow.

Which is weird, becuse i can run games that look as good if not better than that game. Maybe it's just badly optimised or something?

Well since my laptop screen shattered immediately into finals week I haven't been playing a whole lot of PC games understandably. I did go and get a new external monitor though because trying to work using my old one had a pretty nasty flicker rate going on. On my tablet I've got Endless Depths 2, Endless Nights, Dungeons of Evermore, and the obligatory assorted grab bag of various freemium crappola.

I just recently finished Broken Age finally; it was one of those very few KS I backed. Not bad, but the ending was kind of meh. Still, it had its moments. Either way though, for the amount of money they had for this project it did come across as a bit underwhelming. Daedalic and indies like Wadjet Eye have done better with far less money to budget.

Speaking of Wadjet Eye, I'm playing trough Shardlight right now. So far so good. I'm still trying to figure out whether this is supposed to take place on an alternate Earth or not, the post-apocalyptic setting notwithstanding.

Currently I'm playing Theme Hospital and that picture pretty much sums up my experience...

Sunless Sea. I feel a bit lost at the moment but it should get better soon.

Meanwhile my wife has fould some of my old floppies and we discovered Summer Challenge among them. And since she played this game in her youth too we made ourselves a small competition ;) So far so good :)

Flame Over - One of the ps+ games, not a bad game but since it's a roguelike it doesn't allow the player to save, so if you want to play it from the first area to the last you will have to play it on one go, probably 2 hours non stop. You can choose the area where you want to start, therefore, skip some levels but due to the difficulty of the game and the roguelike elements you don't want to do that because you will need some items to make your life easier.
I don't know if i will ever finish it but i'm keeping it installed in case i'm in the mood to play something casual while listening to music.

Diablo 3 + Reaper of Souls (ps4) - I played it before with a friend, we end up finishing the main game and we were starting the expansion but ps+ run out and you need that to play online (fuck you sony). So we started where we left off and... Holy shit it's boring. We're at the max difficulty and the game is still boring, you can level up but only get the paragon (i think that was the name) points, no more new stuff (not that it matters, really dumb that you have to pick some spell/skill over another to one button) and the game just feels like a dumb twin stick shooter.

I don't understand, i mean, ok, i can see why people like it on pc but on the console it's just wave after wave and you just have to button smash and kill the enemies... It isn't fun, there's no strategy involved...

Phew! So I am not alone not really understanding what I am doing, or what I am supposed to do, in the game.

So I create some examination room that is needed... for something. Should I add windows on it or not? Does it matter? Does it matter where I place the desk, where the inspection bed, whether I put some plants in there, etc. etc.? Does it matter where I put seats in the waiting room? (later I read in some FAQ that yes it does, by e.g. how easily infectious deceases will spread...)

I re-installed Dark Souls 2. Since I lost my 30H save and only had a new save at the beginning, I guess it will take the whole year to finish it if I don't get enough help in co-op....

yep it all matters! The atmosphere of hospital to keep employees happy and increase the overall quality of your hospital so you can increase costs. Placement of everything matters because efficiency matters a lot. You want to process patients as quickly as possible, so seating close to all the rooms, the devices in each room close to the doors, this room next to this room so patients who need both are treated faster, etc. Multiple reception desks and basic exam rooms around the hospital so you can get people to where they are going faster, etc. It teaches you as you go. It's a bit of a tedious unrewarding game, imo, though, and after playing numerous hours I simply stopped because the "enjoyment" factor was deceiving me.

Started playing Wolfenstein: The New Order again. Which was a mistake, because I'm suddenly halfway trough the game again. The more I play of it the better it gets, I swear.

It's an incredibly detailed game, but ultimately just felt overwhelming to me. I kept replaying and optimizing and after a while it felt like a busy work I'm never going to master. Still, great management game, a lot of charm.
