Well, trying to decide. I went to the library and got all the Mario Acevedo books. I'll give the first one a try, and if I like it then I've got the rest of them too. They seem like they should be pretty quick reads.

Also, "Mind the Gap" and "The Map of Moments" by Christopher Golden and Tim Lebbon.

And I bought two: "Bite" by Richard Laymon, and "The Hacker and The Ants" by Rudy Rucker.

So much to read, not enough time.

I'm reading Lord of the Rings FOTR for the umpteen time. I'm also reading Watchmen.

After finishing the first book in the Wheel of Time series, The Eye of the World by Robert Jordan, I immediately started reading the second book, The Great Hunt.

I think I'll give up on the Mario Acevedo books, for now. They're really nothing more than mysteries with a bit of urban fantasy thrown in. Not bad, but not interesting enough for me to read all of them in a straight shot.

Finished reading a collection of two stories by H.P. Lovecraft, The Shadow Out of Time and Medusa's Coil. 4/5, the second story is pretty hard to enjoy because of its blatant racism.

Finished reading The Silkie by Alfred E. Van Vogt. 4/5, classic Van Vogt.

Reading The Three Musketeers (Much better than the movie btw).

Heiress of Healing. Won it on Goodreads and definitely better than I expected it to be. Let's see if I'll keep that opinion past this point though, since I just finished a chapter that gave me some reason for concern.

Hey, I'm going on a road trip tomorrow, any suggestions for a book to read during the car ride?

I tend to like old literature like Le Morte d'Artur, or Icelandic Sagas. I know I can get a poetic version of Gilgamesh around here, but I already have a prose version and it's $12 USD for a really short story. Like I said something like that does not HAVE to be older than dirt, but that sure would be nice.

Rereading The Great Gatsby. The prose is as sparklingly beautiful as ever, I half expect the words to come off the paper and stick to my fingertips like glitter.

The scene early on in which Nick enters the room where Daisy and Jordan recline is breathtaking.

1984 - it makes me want to put a bullet through my head.

Just finished Siddhartha (which I can recommend to everybody). Will start in the Name of the Rose either tomorrow or on tuesday.
