I got a friend who's birthday is coming up. I likes grand strategy games. Crusader Kings, Alpha Centurai, Total War. That sort of thing. I thought I'd gift him something but this isn't a genre I'm very familiar with. So I thought I'd ask you guys.

While obviously I do want to find the best ones possible really I'm interested in any available here. If someone knows where I could find a complete list of Grand Strategy games here that would be great.
