My problem's the following: I wanted to buy a bunch of games, wrote my credit card details, pressed the payment button and then nothing. However note this: The bottom of the page said before I pressed the button that by paying I confirmed I was indeed in Greece (where I indeed am, on holidays). After this happened, that changed to saying netherlands and the button greyed out and now the payment options show what they would to someone from Holland (e.g. Sofort instead of Paysafe etc). What should I do now? For all I know, unless I was teleported and hypnotised or something, I'm still in Greece, just saying...

edit-damn, now the thread's title has a typo, and I don't feel like telling Judas to fix it...
edit2-Wrote about it to support too, will see what they'll do...In case anyone from support sees this, my ticket number is RNNLFI0G
edit3-Oh wait, someone fixed the title! If it was you Judas thanks a lot! :D And even if it wasn't you thanks a lot whoever-you-are anyways!

This question / problem has been solved by Ritualistoimage
Did it take any money from your account? Does it appear on your orders history?

Cyraxpt: Did it take any money from your account? Does it appear on your orders history?
Thanks a lot for reminding me to check this! About the 1st no, but about the second, it shows me 2 pending orders (I might have clicked the payment button twice in my panic!) complete with a timer on when the money will be taken. Hopefully, support will cancel the duplicate order, because paying that big order twice will be somewhat annoying...
edit-that makes the problem weird for sure- my order seemed to not pass through but it sort of did, and even twice...

Should I click "complete the order" on one of the 2 pending orders or that would mess things further? I wonder...
Perhaps better to let them expire, and try to again?
It's probably what I would do, just in case.
Welcome
I would do the same as Aemenyn said.
For me it is a "You have xx time to complete this order" - timer and not a "We will take your money in xx time" - timer.
But I could be wrong. Is any blue online you could ask now?
An update: at least the netherlands part of the problem is now solved. A support guy (namely Heinrich) told me it was a problem on their side, and suggested I delete my cookies, log off and on again... I did so and now the payment page sees I'm back in Greece now! Thanks for the help on that Heinrich!
However, I sent him the pending orders clarification/reply a millisecond before I saw his reply (and his closing of the ticket). At least in his reply he assured me that no money was collected from what he saw in their systems, so I guess I'll wait till the pending orders expire and try to checkout again after that-but I'll be worrying about it in the meanwhile...

Pheace: Welcome
Err, what do you mean welcome? Welcome to having payment problems or welcome to gog in general? About the 1st one, indeed that's the 1st time I've had such a problem, as for the 2nd, if that's the case, that sure is a late welcome, as I became active in the forums a year and a half ago, even though I don't show up in that many theads...

Judas seems to be offline now, and I don't know many other blues other than him...
Anyways, thanks for the suggestions guys! Will probably mark either Aemenyn or Ritualisto as the solution, after I wait and see whether the pending payments expire or not...

Ah, I see... But that was an only-half-an hour long "trip" and showed up only on gog's checkout too, so it wasn't really much of a trip to the Netherlands-not to mention that I now "left" and I'm now "back" in Greece again -maybe in the same logic you could say welcome to Greece or something... :-)

Just did! (via Pm-going in any other thread would derail it...) Thanks for notifying me! Will see what he says soon hopefully...

Update-Judas replied already and suggested I keep an eye on my account statements and also that I ask support to cancel these orders just to be safe, so that's probably what I'll try to do...edit-just did, waiting for support to delete the pending orders...

I'm curious, has anyone figured out what is triggering this purchase errors?
Another update- In the meanwhile, the pending orders expired by themselves and nothing seems to have been charged for the moment. Will wait a bit more (half an hour or so) and see if it'll get charged later, and then will buy the stuff I wanted to in the first place and go offline-all this troubleshooting business exhausted me!
edit-went ahead and made the purchase, now it went through as normal-hope I won't face such a problem again!
also marked Ritualisto as the solution, because he expanded on what Aemenyn said and indeed after the pending orders expired, no charge from them seems to have been made...

Could be many things.
I've had some purchases go a bit wonky myself, though that was generally during a sale, with a lot of load on the servers.
I am glad you got it sorted out and the Netherlands location is fixed to have a payment go through. In your own way, by expressing this experience publicly, you have at least helped me (and I hope others too) understand how to approach a situation like this. The pending timer for completing orders is very noteworthy to keep in mind, since I never seen that before. From the pictures, the timer to finish an order seems to be in hours:minutes:seconds with a start time of at least 1:37:00, maybe rounded to a clean 2 hours as speculation. Payment hiccups can be a worrisome experience and I very much appreciate your efforts in updating your status. I hope you enjoy your games!
