Today we have a surprise for all retro gaming fans! Check out these classic tactical titles that will engage for weeks and put your strategic thinking to the test:

Sabre Team (-33%) is an isometric squad-level turn-based simulation that lets you take command of a Sabre Team unit that confronts delicate and dangerous scenarios.

Shadoworlds (-33%) is a gripping isometric squad-based sci-fi RPG that follows a team of explorers as they trek through the dark environments of a weapon research facility.

Both Sabre Team and Shadoworlds are now available on GOG.COM along with a 33% discount that will last until 11th June 2021, 1 PM UTC.
Interesting looking games I've never played before. Looking forward for some kick-ass bundle from Ziggurat to take them all in one piece.

tfishell: "Shadows" "Shadows: Origins" "Shadows: Magik & More" "Domark's Shadow" ;)

trusteft: You realize Shadows and Shadowlands are not the same word, right?
hmmm, I'll have to look at the data to be sure
Sabre Team could be interesting, reminds me of Jagged Alliance.

igrok: That's awesome! Thanks for pointing to the info!

trusteft: If you like Wages of War (I do too), another game which you might like is SSI's Soldiers At War. Great game.
I managed to play a bit of Wages of War many years ago. In fact I enjoyed it more than the first Jagged Alliance, but I didn't get to finish the game.
I also tried to get my hands on Soldiers at War but I never managed to find a copy back in the day.
And they made another WW2 tactic game: Squad Leader.

And it was only today that I found out that the devs are the same guys who made the excellent Chaos Gate

Anyway here're the wishlist entries for those interested:

I don't know how, but I completely missed Squad Leader's release. Thanks.
I remember Sabre Team coming out for Amiga. I wonder if the Amiga version is better?

I booted up my A1200 to do a comparison.
The PC version plays a bit better as the characters move faster. On the Amiga it is like they are walking through treacle.
The music is better on the Amiga though, as was often the case. The soundtrack is much punchier on the Amiga, I particularly like the in-game tune.
